Guys, really, it doesnt matter which silver league is the toughest, seriously, if you knew the answer, what would that accomplish?

We only had access to the offensive AI and beat two playoff teams before losing to UFC 31-0 and Georgia 55-0. (After that game the owner dumped our team completely and left us with no access. He also pulled players from the depth chart before he pulled the plug). Anyway I'm getting off topic. I was also in Silver 8 and I believe it was the tougher of the two leagues. I honestly believe that Georgia and the Headhunters are great teams that could have competed anywhere but I don't think they would have come out of either S8 conference without a loss.
I was also acting as DC for one of those teams in S7, but I didn't want to be acknowledged for it, as I felt that the builds and the team structure weren't up to standard ...I did throw together a makeshift defense to help them out as the DC went AWOL, and coz as I was a GM for them already, the least I could do is make sure that they didn't fail dismally ...we still made the playoffs! ...the OC was almost homeless apparently, and couldn't put an effective OAI together, but we still got a mention on this thread as one of the better teams in S7:

With that said... I would still give the nod to Silver 7 as the toughest Silver league. Silver 1 is very good too.
The way I would rate it - if a Gold team ( from this year) with an above .500 record were put into each Silver league - how many games would they have to gameplan for. assuming they played all the teams.
That's why I think Silver 7 is probably #1
I'd say they have 4 elite Silver teams and 2 really strong ones ( UFC , Eugene )
Close 2nd -
Silver 1 - Atlantic City, Boston Avengers, West Side, Balt Gulls, Boise
monger beat two of the elites in silver 7.
well, have they beaten GLB or Georgia? the conference winners?
and UFC is an elite team.

they might not make it out of monger and the cows conference untouched, but please... the other side is weak. dont get me wrong, the Crabs are good, but they dont measure up.

There's 5 top end teams in S7, ie can play gold teams within two scores, 3 are in the west, two are in the east. There's couple borderline teams in there (Irish, Eugene), but you're still only talking about 5 game plans per regular season at the most, and a couple of them are just cuz you're board.
All being in the "toughest" silver league means is that your second round playoff game might be tough, but more than likely not.
But I'm sure it beats autopiloting to 16-0.

I could get a whole bunch of game links that S8 teams have played against Gold playoff teams and kept within 2 scores and less ...some of those games were against gold teams that are into the conference final ...if you had a look at how the Cows won in my conference, it was an amazing journey ...they won their last 2 games where they only won by a total margin of 7pts for the 2 games, and the 2nd Rnd match they won by stealing victory from the jaws of elimination with a 60 yard TD on the very last play!
http://goallineblitz.com/game/game.pl?game_id=896988
they only just beat my team by a FG in the conference final

I'm really mad about that btw >< aldshfakjlsf
I think S8 is one of the stronger silvers and I'm really happy to be in a competitive league as it would suck not to be. Buuuuuut as it was said arguing over the strongest silver league is pointless ... gold is where its at :/
Cows you don't know how much I hate you ... but you make our boards fun which is alright :L

and if you wanna talk seriously, that is about all that S7 has to offer also ...some of those teams mentioned in S7don't even come close to measuring up ...but I refuse to mention names for the sake of stirring the pot any more than I have already
