It would make perfect sense for those players that like to recycle pee wee players as they can retire and build.
It makes perfect sense for players wanting to keep their dots long term.
It makes perfect sense for a level playing field.
It makes perfect sense for recruiting in the off season instead of during the season.

Let's get going with the 1000+ thread. GO!

I said this before in our League Forum:

All games (sports included) have some tactics and such that can give you an advantage. Day 31 players is one of those types of advantages. It's not like it's some big secret kept among an elite few...Thunder and Sunshineduck's guides spell it out pretty well, as do a lot of other threads. Half an hour of education via the forums isn't that big of an advantage. And it's not a big deal to arrange, either, at least not for a dedicated team.

The only potentially-valid argument I can think of is where an experienced crew of GMs decides to start a new Pee-Wee team, but because they have been playing higher level stuff for a while, they either don't know or don't remember how to optimize for Pee-Wee...and then they get beat by a less experienced team that has 55 day 31's. Does the less-experience team deserve to win? Well, does experience count more or less than 30 minutes of reading in two of the 5-or-less stickied threads in Pee-Wee? Would an experienced crew not do any research before starting up a serious Pee-Wee team?

Also, that scenario is almost irrelevant now. That could only happen in copper, and both teams would move up to silver anyway. And by then, the experienced team will have learned their lesson.

On top of that, Day 31 teams can get beat by better tactics and game planning, even if a team has far inferior builds.

I vote to leave the day 31 stuff the way it is.

But speaking as a team that doesn't boost, doesn't use custom EQ, and hasn't had to pay a dime yet...YES it would make recruiting and sustainability a lot easier. We finally have a 55-man roster this season -- if you gank the day 31 deal, then we have enough to coast for a while (until the owner runs out of high level guys to retire for those 400 flexies/season). Don't tell Bort, but I was gonna buy FPs for this season's day 31 because we don't know how we'll get the extra 10 or so players that we'll need.

So are we looking to due this to even out the playing field in Pee Wee? If so lets go all the way and remove boosting until the playoffs and no Custom Equipment at all. This way you remove all things that would give Agents and teams that spend Flex an advantage.

Yeah and whilst your takin cash out of Bort's wallet lets make him pay us for playing the game!!!

The OP is a good suggestion, and for it to have any chance of getting up we need to reduce the financial impact it would have to be implemented (so just leaving it at starting with no XP players is good).

So the Idea is more About Spending Flex then making it a more even playing field? And no I don't think Bort will pay for us to play the game.

Your kidding right, of course (for Bort) its about flex.... we'd all love an even playing field, but its never going to happen as Bort makes less money off that.

The suggestion in the OP doesn't really cost him money (which is why it will have a chance to get implemented), anything that takes away from revenue streams is not going to be implemented (no matter how good of an idea it is, or how much better it would make the game).

This is a business (not a game, Bort doesn't play for fun, this is how he makes his living), so I get why he does what he does, just means we have to come up with suggestions/improvements which can be implemented that add to the game playing experience (fairness factor) without costing him any $$$.

Basically, a player created day 1 to day 40 can't gain xp during the season after preseason time? Or something like that?

How does it work when a player signs with like a team or goes to d-league? Is XP activated?

Yeah I know, but a perfect level playing field would be a non-boosting/non CE league.... which is on the NGTH list, which is why I wanted to keep additional suggestions to the OP limited to stuff that had a chance of being implemented (before getting everyone off on a tangent that won't happen, no matte how much we'd all like it).

It all Good. The bottom line is your spending Money to make players day 31 of day 40. Pee Wee is all about Spending Money. Im sure Pee Wee will change once people have to start spending Money instead of using retired players flex.
