Metalheads are just continuing the Garuda tradition of making it to PRO and immediately going CPU.

There's really nobody left from the old AA-AAA rivalries. The Hustlers smashed heads to get into PRO, before succumbing to 'teh suck' disorder. The Highlanders are still around with a lot of former Hustlers, but they currently are suffering from teh suck. The Metalheads were part of those old rivalries, and they're gone. The Bats disbanded last year.

TKW, Manila, and the Flames are the only 3 teams remaining. Everyone else totally sucked ass and ran their pussy asses away from here. Broken builds coupled with a complete inability to evolve with the sim has spelled trouble for most of the teams that dominated seasons 4-6.

I like to defend Garuda as much as possible, but shiiiiiiiit, there's a reason why Naga teams are self-righteous bastards. They're the only division in SEA that doesn't sell their teams immediately upon reaching PROs. What the hell is the point of playing the game if you're just going to give up the moment you get here?

It goes deeper than that man. IMO... The promotion rules are unfair for these new teams. Some of the new teams can't compete at this level when they are promoted early like this.


If garuda keeps just 4 of some of their best teams of all time, then teams like the warlords, sting, flames, and lightning have to fight to make the playoffs much less contend for a title. Not that they are bad teams but it would seperate the good from the great.

I mean it's sad that in the 9 seasons of SEAPL you only have 3 teams who have ever been to the super wok and only 2 who have ever won it still active in the league

Flames are taking that step up into the elite of Garuda. I will save the shit talking about being SEAPL elite since we have proven we cannot compete with the best in Naga. Once we do beat one of you though (and we will eventually) I promise you will never hear the end of it.

Oh I understand that the promotion rules are pretty lame, and if Bort really cared about his PRO leagues he would simply promote teams from different AAA regions when there are 5 gutted teams over here. I was just stating how Garuda really fell apart, and continues to fall apart because nobody has the patience to do what it takes.

All those teams you listed were top notch.

I don't even know why the Red Bulls quit? Because they lost the title game and weren't allowed to carry 80 players anymore? Why did NACJAC quit, and make up this big long story about quitting GLB, only to never quit? Why do people say a bunch of B.S. that is never the truth? It's really lame.

It's one thing to just run out of enough active GM's, but it's another thing to have a good thing going and simply jump ship because you disagree with Bort. Nobody agrees with Bort 100% of the time, but let's face it -- it's his game, his livelihood, and his future at stake. If he wants do something because he thinks it'll help the game then so be it. It's our job to adjust to the conditions present before us.

Teams shouldn't avoid SEAPL, this league is a lot of fun, but the best GM's avoid it like the plague.

I'm not a big fan of USAPL because the entire forum is a trollbait/epeen contest. What better what of saying, "hai im 12." Than to jump into the USA leagues and proclaim how great you are.

Because we work our butts off trying to fix everything and anything wrong with this team, and when we finally strike the motherload, everyone needs to hear about it If you only knew how much hell I give to our coordinators for any little play that looks out of place, because we have to be perfect to beat these established SEAPL leaders. That Marauders game had me shaking my head the entire replay session -- wtf? huh? r u srs? noway! omg. That's pretty much how it went.

We have 1 more game to play vs Naga this season. Hopefully it's against the Marauders for the coveted Wok.

when slow building became the trendy sexy thing to do teams dropped like flys... "why keep working to contend when we can simply cut and run and slow build..." you know... so you can sit around for 3 seasons and then a couple seasons later you realize that if you don't want to game plan in PRO what makes you think you'll want to game plan at AA and AAA to make it back to pro where you still get out game planned or recruited.
