I think you may be overestimating the complexity of the sim code.

Agreed. And it works both ways. Can help a CB make an INT or PD when in theory he shouldn't even be able to see the QB. And it helps him get faked out also.

Then I pull my statement back a bit, I figured the QB had it as well. Must have just been the luck of the draw how it worked out. Certainly a deserving team as I saw first hand how good you are when you slaughtered us earlier this season.

Best part of that play isn't even the killer pump fake (Riverboat Gambler taught him well!)that Long John Slinky threw.

It's that he pump faked while a 324 pound DT was hanging on him that makes that play kick unholy ass.Oh...and THEN throwing the perfect 40 yard strike so that the WR could catch it in stride.

I'm an incredibly proud agent right now.


Merlin thought we were playing flag football on that play apparently. I think our CB thought he was in the grasp and starting celebrating as well

I should have put in more of a prevent defense if we got up big and I didn't. We held you guys to 6 points and 220 yards for 44:48 and gave up 31 points and 350 yards over the rest of the game. RNG was with us for 3 quarters and didn't work in our favor down the stretch. Bad game for it to happen however.

We left the outside running open, and you guys taking advantage of that scared the piss out of me when watching the sim.

We miracled out a victory in the end. Probably the most exciting game of dotball I've ever watched.

I don't think you understand how Big Heart works. It stays on until the score is WITHIN 7 points. It wasn't on for the last FG drive but morale was killed by that time. Big Heart should have been nerfed long ago, I definitely agree with Hulk. Either ways, great game O...the curse lives on.(4 straight Bort Bowls by a team I GM, 4 straight losses)

FWIW, only 2 players have 15 in Big Heart, and 1 other has 4 in it.

I think 1 of our TDs was a Big Heart TD. Otherwise, it was just the bounce of the dot ball.

Realistically, a pump fake should rarely affect a corner in man coverage, as their eyes are usually glued to the receiver, not the QB. Unless of course the pump fake is before the corner transitions out of his backpedal or after the CB has turned his head to look for the ball (which is what you're supposed to do as soon as the WR turns his head).

I was under the impression it turned off when you were within 7 not below 7, so once they were down 7, it would be gone on that td drive (the reason bort changed it to that). Yea, the morale effect is still there and it's just a dumb VA in general. No one every said bort thought things through all the way when adding VAs or adjusting the sim. There's lot's of sim issues (tons of head fakes even when the guy is pinned to the sideline, pathing issues, etc...) so i just commented that OFG didn't win because of some bullshit thing. They deserved it.


The game was actually really entertaining to watch. I've never actually wondered till now but how is possession in OT determined?

I have no idea and they didn't only win because of Big heart, saying that is shafting Duff and Hulk who I respect but it did play a part in it.



Exactly. MEM has the better overall team. But *O* is one damned good team and they invested heavily in the loophole of the season. MEM took advantage of the power backs last season so there can't be any complaining about *O*'s win. They planned properly.


Really, we didn't. We just put Big Heart where it counts:

Hulk Fling Rock has 15 Big Heart
Hulk Blazing has 15 Big Heart
Blandon Clemmons has 4 Big Heart

No one else on our team has it.

We gameplan to use it though, if we get down those guys are in.

Right, but that Big Heart didn't kick in when the score was close late, or when the score was tied in OT.

Hulk Fling Rock had a massive game by any evaluation. He was the MVP imo.

People just can't seem to grasp MEM losing without some glitch or something

Not sure about the moral spiral, I have never seen a defender end the game with less than 95 moral. Then again, I made it a point 3 seasons ago for the entire team to have confidence over 55. I know some of the uber-builds out there, especially in the secondary, don't have high confidence, so if they go into a moral spiral they have to share some of the blame for that.

Not saying that is the case with MEM, because I don't know. I would be interested to see their end of game moral numbers though.

Great season. I would have been happy with the result no matter what as long as the game was entertaining to the end, and it was definitely that.


I definitely think the moral spin does happen. I'd be curious to see the moral report for MEM's players.

Big Heart is overpowered, I definitely think that. Bort nerfed the scoring range when he should've nerfed the +2% part instead.
