Ok I think I can verbalize better what my issue is.

These support numbers are meant to determine what ticket prices to sell at. I have a major problem with how the numbers are generated, and your system looks better (although I still have some qualms), but the real issue is how to translate a team's record/etc into wins. If your fan support changes, that changes ticket prices right? What if this system was in place to set the ticket prices correctly. For example, what if 84/39/2 looks dumb but the resulting effect on the maximum ticket price is actually sound?

I think that you're looking at an intermediary variable without looking at what team results do to ticket prices. So your change in fan support is arbitrary because the real question is: how do ticket prices change based on what your team does?

Well my qualm is that the teams that have had winning seasons, but then have one bad season, can now no longer give out equipment because they have to hand out lower ticket sales, then don't bring in more money, then can't compete nearly as well...

Now with my system, it at least gives a team that is struggling to get a few key wins and then make more money, hand out more equipment and creates a more competitive GLB.

That being said, no one knows how ticket sales are effected, due to bort not showing us the formula (for good reason). So, I can only look at what I can understand. I don't know how much the ticket sales would need to be changed, but I would assume it would change VERY little.

I think it's a great idea as if you have a winning season you would always establish "loyal" fans... regardless of your next season. But on the flip side you will always have the bandwagoners that are quick to hop on board when you're winning and quick to leave when you're not.

+1. signing petition now.

Does it cost extra to put the word "official" in your suggestion thread?

is this ever gonna get implemented? Enough of these pants-on-head retarded fans who ditch out on a 5-3 pro team after they lose by 5 points to the benitos.

Great stuff

EDIT:
To be honest I'm not sure how this would really impact on the ticket sales since you can charge what ever you want so even with a low fan base a shrewd owner could still come out on top with high ticket prices.
I think these ideas might have a much bigger impact if ticket prices were standardized across the league so that fans everywhere paid the same price for regular season games. Essentially replace "Recommended Price" with "Regular Season Price" because as it stands now the idea is a joke and most shrewd team owners charge way more then the recommended price (We've had a season sell out at 225% above recommended, which leaves me wondering how much higher we could have gone). Apply the same concept to Playoff Games as well but obviously charge more than you would for regular season games. Teams that set their prices more than 10% over the recommended price should see some sort of Fan revolt.
With these measures in place I think most owners would start paying attention to what their Fan support actually is and not just thinking that a few early wins will ensure a season sell out.

I have to fully agree with this argument. I have had a team now for 6 seasons. The first 4 seasons we averaged about 13 wins with a 5-4 playoff record making 2 conference championship games. Also, one of those seasons was a 16-0 regular season. The start of the 5th season we went in with 100/100/100 fan support. After struggling to an 8-8 record and narrowly missing the playoffs in the new higher league our fan support dropped from the high income fans to below 50. That resulted in me dropping my high end ticket prices drastically in order to sell them and missing out on a lot of cash. With that in mind I couldn't afford to go upgrade everyone's equipment like I would have liked to and it left me with no opportunity of throwing out solid signing bonus offers to any potential new recruits. I can understand the fan support dropping with mediocre or lackluster performances but I'd expect a little less decline from an average season after many great seasons.
