I never said it was just real life reasons. I made it clear that bugs in the sim and finances made it nearly impossible for us to win. I then said that I have too many RL issues to dedicate time to a team that is dead in the water on a broken game. Both of which are true.

This will give me a month to take a break from constant GLB so I can spend more time on RL issues and fix the finance problem we have all in one swing.

Dude, i agree the Financial model of GLB is FUCKED UP. This isnt the way to fix it though.

Bort should have adressed this shit when the community starterd bringing it up 1-2 seasons ago. I even started flipping the hell out in a thread I made about this issue...not because I was riled up, but because i thought it would make an Admin look at my thread and comment on this financial issue lol

I did PM support about what you are doing so they can look at it and comment. Who knows, maybe it is legit/allowed.

It sounds like it is a combination of issues.

I agree financial reasons are not good ones. I think there are only a handful of teams funding lots of players with level 56 gear. At the start of last season, we were sitting on a $50M stockpile. By the time level 48 gear for a big roster was paid, that is gone. Only one player on our team has level 56 equipment right now. I don't see it as a big deal. Most of our players have been smart loading up on two AE anyway.

Ironically, it is the teams that started out in BBB that seem to have the most cash, as many of them have seasons hosting multiple playoff games. Teams that started in AA and up only had to win once or twice (or no times in the case of the few remaining original Pro teams) so they have generated no where near as much cash as these BBB teams.

Hell, the community has brought up the broken-ness of the financial system since around season 2.

As usual, Bort doesn't listen. His own warped vision does this game follow...

Problem is we waited to boost until the end of seasons and back then most other teams didn't so we didn't get home field. Plus most of the teams here started in season 1, we started in season 2 so we had one less season with a full stadium to sell tickets and buy gear. We had homefield throughout the playoffs once in 8 seasons and had home playoff games for 1 round only 3-4 seasons.

Bort made an announcement saying that TV revenue sharing would be added this season and then later posted that it would be 2 million a game in pro leagues. It would have helped and we were expecting that 32 million this season but it still wouldn't have leveled the playing field but at least it would have been a start.

The most sickening part of all this is I really don't want to go this route and it could have so easily been prevented. Hopefully Bort will look at this and the thread that hexone started and the suggestions thread in this forum and realize just how big of a problem this will become.

Bort's made the mistake of thinking that teams will just mostly accept they don't have an even $$ advantage, instead of actively working the system any way possible.

I think he needs to really think hard about the connection between competitiveness at high levels and multiple seasons of home field advantage in the playoffs.
