True, but it's not really about their build or how well they perform during the season, it's that people manipulate their system in order to get those players in to begin with that bothers me. It may turn out that having a particular high lvl doesn't make that big a difference, but they obviously thought it would else owners wouldn't plan to remove the majority of their at-cap players, and go with a team of 4-5 high high levels and a bunch of level 1s when the capped leagues were being set then within a week after deadline they're back to a full team of at-cappers along with the high lvls and suddenly the poor lvl 1s get released (I guess we're all supposed to be too dumb to see what they're doing).. Whether teams that have done that win championships or whether they have crap strategies and lose all their games doesn't matter to me, I just think it's pretty cheap tactics.
Our team wasn't in a capped league last season, we have a few players over the cap but we had to cut a bunch of people because we didn't have enough money. We were hoping to not be in a capped league because there were some other players we were hoping to sign but we can't now, because of the cap. We has signed a lot of lower levels because that's what our team could afford. We are trying to build our stadium up so we can have a full roster of around the same levels, but with a small stadium and all tickets selling out we only got concession sales throughout the season which made us have to take out a loan to keep paying players. I don't see why people thought that they could cheat the system because bort said before the shuffle that it would be your median team level plus the average that determined where you would go. that's why we're more than likely going to get pounded this season, because we have a few higher levels but our average team level is around a 20 or lower. Hopefully we can make it at least a little challenging depending on how our DC plays work out.
