The QB boot is more broken than the depth chart/energy settings, surprised we haven't heard more about that.

We will once more people get rushing QBs, I'm making a QB just for that and I'll have to bitch if Bort actually does fix it.
Honestly, I don't see a big problem with it (and yea, I know I'm biased). The play can be stopped. Rather easily in fact (I stop it all the time on the teams I GM).
The one thing it does, however, is punishes teams that send 8-9 up the middle. It forces a defense to make strategic choices. Right now, it's pretty simple - stop the inside run, and stop the pass. There is no game planning the outside run. The QB boot at least makes that happen. Of course, if the outside pitches worked worth a damn then teams wouldn't need running QB's to go to the outside.
When every one else has a running QB in USA Pro, just remember who started all the havoc!
Its a simple play to stop in its own right, but when you can run it to both sides from virtually any formation, especially strong I, its pretty ridiculous. Then add to that the fact that you can sub in your special wildcat QB without the D being able to key in on that, and that the D doesn't even recognize its a run until the QB is past the LOS (worst part) and you've got a big 8-10 yard per clip cheeseball.
Its dumb that the D can't run special plays for RB1/2 QB1/2 etc. It would add a whole extra level of gameplanning to both the D and O, and would be the closest thing we could get to play action.
