keeping vision at around 50 is interesting; many recommend pushing it to 60 asap.

i'll have to decide between taking vision to 60 or moving catching up from 30... hmmm. it probably makes more sense to train catching while i still can

My highest level corner (which was recently retired) didn't act any different with 62 vision, form when he had 51 vision. I don't really see a point in higher vision, until you're in the pros.

interesting, thanks for the info.

i was starting to question vision totals at 50+ based purely on stats but was always weary since i didnt watch much film to back it up

Ehhhh I noticed a big difference. But I had about 5 SV when I did it so it obviously made the difference greater.

you need to watch the film to see the difference. You will bite less on fakes. you can tell when youve been pumpfaked or whatever fakes WRs running routes do.

I Say jumping is for if you just want PD. Catching for Int. I mean, logically if you can catch then you can Catch. Not Catching is not catching, and if you touch the ball it turns out to be a PD.
I agree with you.

My CB's stats are pretty ridiculous mainly due to all the cupcake games, but even excluding those games he still had a pretty good season:

CBs are CBs because they're WRs that can't catch. That's kind of what separates the two positions, other than the obvious instincts, which CBs need to have.

I didn't notice a difference until Bort made vision more important for coverage this season. Before, the difference between 50 and 60 vision wasn't worth 20 SP. Now, it does make a significant difference in the length of time it takes for a CB to disengage his man to chase the ball, among other things.

Very simple minded thinking. Based on your post if that's all that seperates a WR and CB, does that mean a WR with good catching and instincts (vision) would also automatically be a good CB?

That might have been the case a long time ago, but I don't agree with that anymore. The skill sets required for the positions are quite different. Route running versus being able to anticipate routes isn't something that can be picked up easily. Guys like Devin Hester aren't dominant WRs for that reason.

Cornerback is also becoming a premium position. The NFL is starting to see a lot more athletic freaks playing the cornerback position instead of becoming WRs.

I have near 80 vision with VAs and I like it. tho I cant tell the difference from 50 to 70 since it always went up 1 Skill point at a time. I know I play MUCH better on outside runs than other CBs. But since teams just run the iSlam it doesnt really matter.

Jumping and Catching should be fairly even IMO

There are too many examples of highly successful CBs with like 32 catching to make me think catching is all that important...
