I was thinking maybe each team owner nominated like 7-8 of their guys for the team and then a group of voters has a pool of guys to vote on.

That is true, but if you allow them to vote for their own team you could have a team full of just their guys because they voted the most.

This would be a good idea. That way if there's a player on your team that is really good, but doesn't have the stats to show it the owner can make a case for them. If you have a DB that rarely has the ball thrown to the guy they're covering it may be easy to overlook them. Unless you actually watch the replay of all of the plays you won't know who's covering who.

What about letting each team only have 1 vote per positition? The players on the team can discuss it between themselves and come up with the final vote. That way people can't stuff the ballot box.

We'd definitely need a way to cut the candidate pool WAY down (I don't think anyone has time to look through every team and watch a few plays). Having each owner nominate say 6 of their players, as mentioned by Brick, with a few sample plays posted even, then organizing the nominees by position might make it doable to get a lot of participation.

You know all of this wouldn't matter if Bort or DD don't do anything about it. Its not like we can simulate the game....
But if you guys REALLY would like to see this happen, I guess we can just have a roster????
The 9 Enquirer will gladly do this if we can get at least 1 representitive from each team (meaning a GM or Owner who would submit 5 players).

well there might be an obvious best candidate that everyone would vote for and that would leave no backups. maybe that would work, i think it should be 2 though
Who thinks:
Each team has one vote and it goes like this (each team decides to vote for this many in each position):
QB: 2
HB: 2
FB: 2
WR: 5
TE: 2
C: 2
G: 4
OT: 4
LB: 6
CB: 5
FS: 2
SS: 2
DE: 4
DT: 4
KR: 2
PR: 2
K: 2
P: 2
then after, the votes are compiled and the #s above are chosen as the pro-bowl players
and team owners/GMs can recommend some of their star players they think are candidates
im not missing any position am i? and who agrees to something similar?

I'll make my suggestion simpler, one i posted in another league thread
Each team has their own vote and the team owners send the ballot to whoever is in charge of this and the votes are compiled and the top players for each position (w/e # for position) are selected for the pro-bowl.

I don't think we have decided on exactly how we are going to do this. I think the guy who does the power rankings volunteered to do it.
But let me gets this straight. Each team just has one set of votes and they want that one vote to pick 5 players and submit them.
