It doesn't look like most of your players will be needing level 48 EQ anytime soon....

AAA2 isn't even 1/2 as hard as USA Pro. The Gamblers were 60-4 including 14-2 in AAA and four conference championship games in the playoffs in their four seasons prior to coming here. We finished 8-8 last year. You thought you were humbled a bit last season when your team struggled the first half, you haven't even come close to being humbled.

Interesting... Let's make it a team vs. team bet, and I'm in...

Whichever team finishes higher dictates the avatar swap....

No, not interested in that. I'm saying your team won't finish 5 or higher. That is after all what you said. I didn't say a thing about my team being better than yours or that we'd finish higher than yours.

for us, 4-5 would be a best-case scenario. I don't, however, see us missing the playoffs.

no doubt about that...

What can I say? I'm very confident in our team, and our GM's. We have some very legit builds, got stronger in recruiting, and have a great plan for next season.

I'm the same way, just not as vocal about it.

The Gamblers will be better this year (we were much improved in the 2nd half of the season but it was too little too late), especially since we get to reset the crappy VA's like power tackling that were worthless. The conference as a whole is better so I'm not sure what that means. Time will tell.

Evidently AAA2 isnt as hard as Oceania AA according to the seeding in your Tourny.

Good call on the crappy VAs - we had that same problem. Thank god for the reset

Eh, that was pure number crunching. Regular season W-L record weighted slightly (-2 per league level, so a 12-4 AAA team was treated as a 10-6 Pro team and so on) dependent on what level league the team played in, scouting report numbers, and average levels of starters for offense/defense. Ranked each of the teams 1-128 in each of those categories, and seeded based on the results. It was the most impartial way I could think of doing it.

Ah, scouting report numbers / average levels. This explains why you seeded us lower than the team we beat 65-17 in the playoffs and are 3-0 all time against, and both of those teams below a team that Modok's Canada A team has beaten in scrimmages 2 seasons in a row. (We beat Modok's Canada A team 91-27). It's your money though, so I'm not going to complain - at the end of the day I'd rather be underseeded and play tougher teams than be overseeded and play weaker ones.

Yea, next year I might actually just do it on my own opinion rather than number crunching. Hell my team is a 21 seed and we're playing a team in the first round that we beat by 17 in a scrimmage. It was just the easiest way for me to go through 128 teams - it worked real well with the top and bottom seeds I think but it's kind of skewed in the middle areas.

And again, I didn't look at post-season playoffs or scrimmages. It was solely regular season W-L record.

Yeah - I understand the need to do it by numbers though. Seeding 128 teams from different regions by yourself is a monumental task

yea tell me about it. Thank God I'm a math whiz, I couldn't even imagine how long it would take someone to type in all those numbers into a calculator and figure out the average levels.

I'm pretty sure next season I'll have a few people helping me and I plan on factoring in playoffs/scrimmages into the seeding. Sorry if your team felt disrespected, you're not the only ones if it's any consolation (but that'll always be the case in things like this).

We didn't feel so much disrespected because we weren't sure of your motivation - now that I know you did it mathematically I feel no disrespect. To be honest, if your goal is to try and win the thing it doesn't matter where you're seeded.
