I like it, but my WR also has pretty high agility. The only real problem I've noticed other than the occasional crazy stuttering is a tendency to take crossing routes upfield right as the QB is throwing the ball where he would be had he kept coming across the field. I don't know if that is the fault of creative route running for sure, but I never noticed it until this season.

I played one game with creative route running, and I was unimpressed with it for my WR. He seemed to follow the TE (as he plays WR2) around, just running into spots the TE vacated while bringing LBs and safeties with him. In theory, it's a decent ploy, but what would happen is that the guy(s) covering my WR would get additional help from the LBs and safeties from the TE, who would break around the time the ball was thrown. Instead of fighting off single/double coverage, he was fighting off triple and sometimes quadruple coverage.

Now, it's still possible to make those catches with our current (as of last season) sim, but the chances for YAC goes down a lot as more of the lanes are closed.

Just my 2 cents a couple of months later.

Do the special abilities have any factor like first step or quick step??

I'm pretty sure First Step and Quick Cut still trigger and are still among the best WR SA's whether or not you're on creative.

Juke is supposed to be great for creative route running too, but I'm yet to see it.

She has been playing on creative since the beginning of the season, and I did not hate creative at all. Here are some examples:

With equip and VA, it is 79 speed, 75 agility, 52 vision, 78 catching, 2 QC

Back to the topic of creative route running.

Now what about the question of high agility, does anyone think agility higher than speed will have an even greater affect?

I don't think speed plays any role in it.

You should have listen to the Bort Interview on GLB Radio, he did say that to be effective on Creative route running, you not only need high agility, but also high speed.

But when can we say that speed and agility is high enough to be effective?

Only Bort can answer that question!

Hm, interesting. I gave up on creative after 2 games last season, but with much higher speed and agility now, i'll give it a try.
