I will never be able to understand why Pariah gave up a relatively competitive team that appeared to be making progress every season to blow it all up in order to dump hundreds of dollars a team from scratch.

Pariah, if you do eventually supersede the teams you desire so badly to beat it will be more likely due to interest apathy or playing aging.

And then shortly thereafter your players begin to age, only to be hopped by younger teams and you're just out hundreds.

I can't personally see the justification.

I'd think someone with your magnificent brain power would be able to deduce the point, though.

Let me make it easier for you:

Pariah had a competitive team.
It was steadily improving.
He destroyed it.
He spent hundreds of dollars to make a new one.
If/when he is able to hop over the teams he once was competitive with it will likely be due to apathy amongst other players and/or character aging.
His window of success will also be relatively small.
He will have wasted many hundreds of dollars and many months of competitiveness for very little.
I have trouble trying to justify his actions.

It actually only cost me a few bucks - I retired every old player I had.

And there was a lot behind the move, as I said before some RL issues. It was discussed with my players and worked out well because now we are all reunited along with a few other great owners including the one and only BerkeyTerps on the Carthage Chaos Lords in Africa A #7.

And as far as time. My team is one season from the playoffs, and two from a championship. In its 4th year it will be a championship team, while everyone here and above will be in there 7/8th year. By the time I am in my 6th year most of the teams above will be declining or retiring.

My rise to the top will be inevitable.

No one is SUPPOSED to beat the Caps, right? They are only allowed to through divine intervention(Hurricanes and such) whenever it is necessary to bring balance to the universe.
