Possibly shedding a block?

What kind of AE would you recommend for either Run Stuffing or Blitzing LBs. Tunnel Vision? Monster Hit?

Sure, he misses tackles, but he's also pretty under-levelled for his league. However, I have to suggest that new LBs seriously consider Rod's advice -- he has an LB on my Samoa team that, while he doesn't put up gigantic tackle numbers, doesn't need to -- he makes plays when we DO need them. I've never at all questioned his abilities there, and he was made a GM so that he could help the rest of our LB crew with builds.

I'm a HUGE fan of Aura of Int.

for blitzing SAM linebackers, I think I'd take tunnel vision over anything else. You can always pump your own points into monster hit.

what he said. Run blitz or pass blitz, Tunnel Vision is gold on an already well built guy. Not a big fan of Monster anyway. 2 points and forget it

Been rolling on equips for awhile, haven't gotten a tunnel vision yet.

Nice job on reducing your tackle/missed tackle ratio... any major changes? Balanced -> Wrap-up? Specific SA?

I'm slowbuilding a linebacker currently, already SC'd speed, working on agility, then vision. I train on intense, so I'm wondering which pair to do with my vision training(after agility is SC'd in another level). Vision/Confidence, Vision/Catching, or Vision/Jumping?

What would be a good substitute for Tunnel Vision if one can't get that? Also, chances are people can only get 2 points into that ability, is it still worthwhile?

Don't train a major attribute. Slowbuilding in this way is a terrible idea for a LB. The incremental gains after a softcap and so low and a LB has so many more categories to develop than some other positions.

You need to be training confidence/jumping/catching in the meantime instead of training a major. Your gains by training a non=major will be more significant than the tiny amount of points that will build over the softcap. Really. I'll show you any of my linebackers against a slow build or someone else that trained a major that is a similar level, and I guarantee my guy is much stronger. For example, the Galaxy Aces MLB discussed earlier in the thread. I'll take the extra 25-40 skill points

I have a relatively stupid question, if you aren't training str (major, right?) to get it to 25 are you just using the natural gains from leveling up? I've been training str to get it to the 25-30 range along with jumping, hate to think I'm wasting intense training......

So looking at intense combos, best one would be jumping+catching? I don't plan on dropping the slowbuild. The vast majority of my time, I've been training a minor paired with a major (speed is minor), and was planning on doing it again. So far I haven't trained a skill over 18, since I've stocked up the points to dump to the first cap by then, and its looking like I'll do the same for vision. While you may be against the general concept of slowbuilding, my main question was more asking "Jumping, catching, or confidence first?"

So I'm building my little level 5 lineback according to the "Rod Long Method" and I think it's working pretty well. These are just D-league plays, so nothing to get really excited about, but I think they show the potential of a speed LB.

Again, not really bragging since this is D-league, but I think I'm on the right track.

Looks fantastic so far. That is some great sideline-to-sideline movement on those plays.
