People aren't pissed because he chose to hire family to work with him, people are pissed that many of those people don't actually "work", they just collect a paycheck.
Bort and Co allowed this game, and the forums in particular to circle the bowl for season after season, all while paying people to do nothing but fuck around in the forums with troll multis and job the promotion system in WL. I paid good money to play on a level playing field, both in the forums and on the field, while in fact neither of those things was true.
People are angry for the same reason they get angry with most companies, a lack of transparency, and a lack of respect for their customers... The fact that instead of addressing customer concerns they are making a joke of this by dusting off all the mods/admins that haven't been present for months speaks volumes about the way they view their customers.
