Stop acting as if it was unfair, AA is usually closing it manually based on when he see's the first game sim. Nobody is picking the games after seeing them. Today it just happened that AA couldn't babysit the sim, and there are only two questionable picks that AA will decide how to handle.

Apparently you didn't read the rules. It clearly states this: -The deadline to make picks for a given week is 5:55 ET.

If someone can't make a pick with 48 hours to do so, it's not my problem. Rules are in this game for a reason and that is to make sure it's FAIR for everyone.

There are a couple of key points.

1) 48 hours is plenty of time to get your picks in. In addition to that, you can get your picks in early, so to eliminate any possible missed pick, go ahead and pick the entire schedule now. You can still change it week to week if you have time.
2) There is a stated deadline in the first post to eliminate any possibility of someone gaining an unfair advantage in the case where I can't be reasonably sure that has happened.
But . . .
3) I hate to see people eliminated by not picking, so if I'm around, or others are willing to monitor, as long as the sims haven't started I'll accept "late" picks.


Even though I truly believe that kswetnam didn't attempt to gain any advantage by making his pick after another sim had started (his hadn't), for the sake of consistency, I have to disqualify his pick. brentsterrr's case is cut and dry since evidence points to the fact that all sims had gone off by that time.

Thanks to those who monitored the sims for me. (for those wondering, using the spoiler free links is an easy way to see when the first sim starts - thanks Wrather of Conor and SLZmonster!)

I edited the rules to make what was the "unofficial" rule a bit more "official", although it still is a bit ambiguous. I also take the approach that I'm more willing to allow something borderline earlier in the season, rather than later.
