I think this sucks. And I think it sucks mightily.
And if I see something that I think stinks...or is a little too convenient, well then I'm going to say so.

The fact is this...Shagg was crowing, rightly so too, about a great recruiting off-season. Things are looking good.

Then they lose the opening game to a team that just joined the league but hadn't lost in 20+ games. Any shame in that? Hell no.

They lose game #2 to the boosted Daggers. No shame in that either. Fucking Daggers are tough.

They beat DDT in game 3. Things are looking okay.

They lose to the Brute Squad. Dayton is a great team.

Then they play us. We're fucking good. It was a 7 point game heading into the 4th quarter. Look at the play by play. They obviously have something fucking set wrong. No passes? Runs up the middle every play? What the hell?

So, they play 5 of the toughest teams in the entire game. They're not getting killed, they're just losing. That makes a guy, who prolly is a little burnt out right now because of the recruiting wars, just up and quit?

It doesn't add up to me.

So I'm gonna say so.

(BTW...the 100 bucks mentioned before are 100 Zimbabwean bucks, worth about .001 cents American)

I'm obviously coming across like a hard assed jerkoff right now. I'm pissed that a good team is getting thrown away. I love playing in this league and in this conference...because it's hard as balls. I like not knowing I'm going to get 73 pancakes in a 139-0 win over Helen Keller's Pre school for the Blind. I'd much rather get one or two pancakes in a 17-14 win, where I battled a beast of a NT for 60 minutes.

To be fair, Bort hasn't translated the new AI into braille, so Helen Keller's Pre school for the blind are at a noted disadvantage.

First, I don't feel as strongly about Shagg's move as others on BSB. I wish he had taken a different approach, and it sucks for USA Pro in general, but honestly, I don't really care about other teams...


That said, I will agree that you would win the aforementioned bet since Airruns won't be getting an offer from us.

#1 We aren't in the market for a #5 WR and are quite pleased with our top 4.

#2 We don't pursue players whose agents have other players on USA Pro teams.

#3 You act like we should be licking our proverbial chops over players from teams that we routinely beat by 25+ points, despite said teams outleveling us significantly. I don't know Airrun and I can't say with any degree of certainty that he doesn't have one heck of a build. I can say, though, that he had 7 receptions in 13 targets for 54 yards vs CBs who were, on average 5 levels lower than him. Not an awful game, but not the kind of performance that makes me think "must-have" in regards to him being available in Free Agency.


So yea, you're right he won't be joining us since we won't be offering. I'm sure he'll do well wherever he ends up though... best of luck to him and everyone from Saginaw...
