As a TE on his team, the Monarchs, I have been particularly upset by this tragedy.
Mike and I have done a lot of tactical work together since the first season, trying to find ways to not only make things better for the Monarchs as a team, but to then share back what was learned with you guys and all the way up to Bort, so that the game itself can be improved.
Mike is always like that. He's a GM second, and one hell of a team player in terms of GLB itself, first.
I can't imagine what he is going through. I can tell you though that many on his team are in shock right now.
Sometimes I just do not understand this world at all.
Whatever you believe or do not believe in, any energy you can send his way is appreciated!

but all in all, spending most of the day high on drugs and looking at pretty nurses, so it could be worse.

mike was back on today posting and stuff on the monarchs forum. He can still only be online for 30 minutes or so but he seems like he is getting better and should be on more often as he improves.

he has actually been quite active today, he will be laid up for 3 months possibly more so i suspect him to be on every day now just not doing the same things he did before. (OMG he may actually be a normal player again)

Thanks to all of you for the literally 1,000s of PMs, e-mails and IMs over the last few weeks.
I am now doing pretty good considering, in hospital still, and likely to be laid up in bed for a few weeks at least, and have some serious damage to my eyesight that limits my time looking at any type of screen.
I will have very little to do everyday, so I will be checking in daily for a half hour or so.
I am on some pretty heavy pain killers so I am not able to really focus on anything a great deal, but I will be around just to say a big thank you to everyone for their support, and to pass the time while laid up in hospital.
