this is starting to get out of hand. i am sure you would have had a fine season and could have rebuilt next offseason to get back where you were. too many teams are throwing in the towel and ruining the fun for others. I can understand if you are inlast place, and everyone is leaving when their contracts are up. But the bulls were good! so were the Hope! etc!

my point is, people, do not give up hope so easily. Things will get better.

This is true, but an owner owes loyalty to the players, not to a future owner. I have a buddy who signed a contract then the next day the owner sold. So now his season 4 is all but wasted.

Hmm not sure Ill agree there as the player signed with a team, not an owner. Teams can be sold, just like players. His (your friend) season is not wasted as long as he plays. Or can talk to the new owner about a trade or being released. I have a few players that were in a similar situation, but I signed the contract and they will play them out. The new owner could turn out good or bad, but people run at the first sign of adversity any more. May offend, but prob for the best as I would not want players that are going bail when things get rough on my team either.

everyone has their own expectation of the game, some play for fun, some play like its real. To each their own.

meh its a crapshoot IMO - with all the random botards picking up teams and fire selling players to the highest bidder i respect him for releasing everyone.

i mean when we picked up the masterminds and had a full roster ready to be transplanted i spent a few days trying to help players find teams they wanted to go to, but not everyone is so lucky...its a rough call one way or another

I'd like to hear bells side of the story. He never did tell us he was leaving (I think most of us knew from reading his press release or at least I did) but never told us.

I left because i was the owner of the team, i asked nathoven if he wanted to buy the team, i could have released my players then... but i didnt i stayed and helped out. i sold the team to him mid season 3 then he disapperd for weeks at a time


no PM no nothing telling me when he is gonig to be back. I didnt want my players stuck on the team when its CPU controled i told myself that i would redo my contracts for end of season 3 and if he returned i will re-up and continue to play for the bulls and GM, well he went inactive +1 week loged on didnt post anything inthe forums or send me a PM letting me know whats going on.

He then went inactive for 13 days after that and just so happens that my players contracts ended that day. and i had already contacted thorn and asked about an inactive owner and when he will lose the team and i was told on day 14 at midnight MST. Well i had alread gave up GM to the team because i was shit he wont log on he hasnt even send me a PM or made a forum post on day 14 he logged on and then logged off again, NO PM OR FORUM POST i just saw he logged on. so i sent him the following PM:

Well i waited 1 day, no response no logon so im like FTW?? is he going to be gone for another week or 2? so i said fuk it i should have gotten an explaination of whats going on so i know what to do.

AGAIN i could have left the team when i sold it but i decided to stay and NOT STRIP THE TEAM! so i dont want any BS you took your players away. i left the team because i was looking out for the players that had 1 more year on their deal and 2 had 2 years. 3 of them were up on season 4 day 1.

So i dont want to hear any shit from anyone about stealing my players, 3 of the 6 were up on day 1 season 4, 1 was up season 4 day 40 and 2 season 5 day 1.

Correction i sold the team prior to season 3 start... i could have sold the team and taken my guys but i didnt. i wanted to stick it out and help the team but when my players future is uncertain and i have no fucking clue what was going on i just moved on. i signed a few players to replace my guys prior to leaving and i did make a forum post but it must have been deleted.

and i knew it was going to happen, the team was sold and im glad i did what i did... no regrets...

First, you knew where nathoven was he was moving from France to Brazil.

Second, yes you made a fourm post but then did an edit to that post for some reason

Third, you never signed anyone. We had two receivers when you left and one was inactive. While nathoven was gone and you left, me, claytonj and BSU couldn't do shit because they can't release those who wanted to be released and all the people I signed can't get on the depth chart.

im not going to argue with anyone about this, i knew the team was going to get sold sooner or later and when i sold the team i could have taken my players away but i didnt becuase i dont beleive in stripping a team. i didnt strip a team most of my players were up on day 1 i just cut that a little bit short.

i did the right thing for my players and thats all that matters to me, i didnt tear a team apart and i didnt have time to run the team so i sold it and tried to keep it together but about mid season i realized that he didnt have his heart into the team and i knew it was eventually going to fall apart with him as the owner.

so i did what i thought was best for the $200+ dollars that i have put into this game and my players and took a hike.

I understand but you making up shit about signing players and not knowing where he was is bull. You going to the Reign didn't help either (though I can't blame you I'd join too)

I didnt say anything because i am not obligated and i didnt want to casue a panic and have everyone ask for a release like they were already.

i signed 4 - 2 lineman, a LB and a corner earlier this season because of that.. they are gone now but wtf ever man.

I didnt know where he was, he had mentioned he might be moving i figured thats why he might be inactive but who the fuck knows NONE of us received a PM or a forum post that he was going to be away. He just dissapeared you would do the same if all your eggs were in one basket.

One of my teams had a very similar situation, so I can say with clear conscience that No I wouldn't, all of my guys played out the contract they had with the team they signed to. Some bailed, and left the new owner for some rough seasons, but we are just about out of the cellar and ready to be competitive again. Your "Press release" makes it that much worse.
