Warrior General Games

Let me be the first to say the Bucs aren't going anywhere. We have a few solid players retiring but we will also be looking to recruit some solid players to fill their slots. This situation is upsetting and frustrating, but so is life. If O.J. can get away with murder, I'm sure the Death Valley Vikings and many other teams will continue to get away with gutting. But in the end, I love this game more than I hate gutting.

We have a great league here with a lot of cool people. I look forward to another season with you guys. To all those running their mouths in this thread: Its easy to talk smack when you're the '99 St. Louis Rams, or when your team just plain blows and you have nothing to lose by spouting off. I like to let my game speak for itself. We'll see yall next season.

I would like it if people did not refer to them as the Death ValleyVikings. This is because they just recently changed the name from Albuquerque Devils, and kind of stole our home for the playoffs. Granted we might not be a playoff team, but still, we are the original Death Valley team in this league.

And they re-named themselves at the BEGINNING of this season (unlike you folks) under new ownership. I'm sure they're thrilled that you failed to notice.

Most owners rename their team when they take it over.

For some reason, even though your team didn't change owners, you still renamed it. Why is that?

Fine by me. Shadowblades changed their name first, which they can do, and I've been calling the former Alb. team the Bye Week Vikings for a while now anyhow.

LOL ... thanks all for saving us the trouble of pointing that out. I mentioned it over in the Fish thread as well.

The reason we moved from Sacramento to Death Valley was to make a clean break from the BS we got screwed with last offseason. Kind of ironic that Albuquerque would then move in next door after everything else that's transpired.

I actually think it's kind of funny they didn't care/notice there was already a team with that name already in the conference. Personally I'd want to be a little more creative than to place my team in the same market, but to each his own. It's not like we're in direct competition for a TV deal or fan support.
