Because Mauler didn't have knowledge of what happened, just like he said he stated to this reply of yours. I would believe Mauler based on my interactions with him, but with the cheating, he had no knowledge of what was going on and isn't doing that now!

I'm still a nobody, and I don't care about all the long-term somewhat unrelated animosity in this thread, but an homage to a banned agent who is a known cheater who screwed the entire game community out of time, money, competitiveness, and enjoyment for a year plus (unless it was "worth it" being on the winning teams?) is still...weird at the very least. Idk, just seems like a strange hill to die on. Not a personal attack, just an observation.

Peej was caught cheating more than once. Its not like PooPeeGate was even his first cheat scandal. When something happens more than once it's called a pattern.

OK, but after learning what happened Mauler 2.0 argued he should get to keep using the chest dots to not unfairly punish his team, kept PJ as perma GM, and forgave PJ for cheating for 1.5+ years.

Mauler doesn't need me speaking up for him nor does he care if I do, but he like everyone else wasn't sure of the extent to what the cheating actually was and wanted to know what the future of the team was going to be which he ended up finding out at season's rollover. There was tons of speculation as to what was actually done and Pwned came on the forums talking of stuff after the season rolled over to give an ounce of perspective although the only people who really know are Bort, DD, PeeJJK, Quwan, and Pwned as to what was actually done. I don't blame Mauler for wanting to keep the dots if the fix was easy by Bort and could be verified as fixed as well as he was in limbo as to the future of the team until rollover

He mentioned why he did what he did and I didn't need to remind you of that! He said he forgave PeeJJK and decided to move forward to which he's at peace with. It might be confusing, but everyone has a reason for doing what they do and it's not up to anyone to judge them for how the decide to feel/believe. I respect Mauler from my interactions with him and in conversations that I have had with him over time, in addition, I believe him that he didn't cheat nor is he still like it was insinuated prior which I replied to.

I hope that after all that has happened that Bort did fix this exploit and hopefully made it so it can't be abused in the future by anyone, but time will only tell!

Lol, no offense, but that's a weird apologist statement. If people just want to blindly stick up for their online buddies, ok just say that. Seems easier to just be honest and say "yeah, it does seem odd/uncool for a team owner, whose team(s) were involved in cheating whether they knew about it or not, to keep a proven cheater as a GM on their team after they were banned".

Again, idk the Mauler 1.0/Mauler 2.0 drama, but it's objectively odd at the least, and pretty easy to see why an outsider looking in would logically assume it's trolling, 0cares about cheating, and/or just a d^ck move to serve as an ongoing reminder of the lost time, effort, and $$$ people put into the game for a year plus. *shrug*
