I admit to being there at one time and really not doing a damn thing.

Does that make me a 95%'er?

Sted 4) Retire.

At heart the issue is that we are free volunteers. Not many of us have 4-6 hours a day to test the way it needs to be done because, well, we are working the job that pays us. If you do then more power to you, but obviously from the attrition rate not many people do. That is why I think we may as well go to beta.

Not being able to spend 4-6 hours a day is a lot different from almost everyone quitting.

No one quit. I am not sure what you mean by that. There is a high time threshold on testing. I have to make a whole team and set it up, build all the players, build the playbook and AI for offense and defense, adjust the depth chart for each side of the ball and formation. It takes many hours just like it would on here. So I set a team up then they change the way players are built in such a way that it makes mine obsolete. Do I have time to do all of that all over again? No, I do not, to answer my own rhetorical question. It's not like you can just log on and test to your heart's content. You have to do a lot of setup and that takes time. There are plenty of people still on the website who were checking in until about a week ago when sims stopped running. There just was no way for them to actually test anything without a pretty substantial time investment.

Either bhall or Corndog said that 95% of the GLB2 testers aren't testing and haven't been for some time.

GLB1 test server had about a 95% attrition rate.

There was like 2-3 people ever invited to it that actually tested.

He was saying that GLB1 was just as bad as GLB2 in that respect because the discussion was about how many GLB2 testers had stopped testing.

Did one of them say the 95% thing in another thread? Cause I only saw you say it, before he said GLB1 had that rate. If they did, then that would make more sense to me.

C'mon peeps you guys have been playing browser games for years. You KNOW we are the testers stop trying to think otherwise.

Nothing wrong with it either , so what you're paying money to do it. It's not like you didn't know before you started. Sometime I just don't get the folks that play these games. Grin and bear it.

My main concern is the fact that I have to pay real money to make players on GLB2 when there isn't any documentation. I mean sorting through pages and pages of a forum thread is painful.

Also doing a Youtube video or multiple videos on the components of the game and how it all works would go a long way to attracting GLB1 people over as well as new players to the game. I dont see how it would be possible to come into this game brand new and figure anything out. The wiki sucks, the forums are full of trolls and smartass comments that will just turn new customers away.

IMO i would like to see GLB2 released for a couple months for free to work out the kinks. Allow people to make 5-10 players at no cost and then at the end of the 2 months or 1 season, whatever. Reset the game and then start charging flex.

Allow the community base to build the wiki or videos etc if you don't have the manpower to do it yourself. But i wont spend a dime on GLB2 until I can see how it all works in some public information site other than a 900 page thread.

/end rant

Your user ID indicates you went through the same with GLB1. There were "guides" early on but they were hardly useful based on the evolution of the game.

Another important key about GLB2. You can create and retire at will. The most important piece of the build is the initial attributes, height, and weight. As long as you get those right (and you can keep trying until you find what you want) your build will be fine unless you do something really screwy.

Not saying I liked GLB1 model either, but starting new it would be nice to not repeat the same mistake.

How hard would it be for those "experts" "testers" or admins to make a youtube video and publish it on the ins and outs of the interfaces and building process prior to the release.

I guess ill wait to see what it looks like myself, but it would really go a long way to move out of the forums threads on how it all works and make a useful and detailed video on the product you expect people to pay money for.
