See? If he isn't dominant, then we're obviously still searching for the right build. Also, I said an entire season with a 110+ QB rating, not 11 games with a 100 QB rating.

IMO a quarterback wont be as dominate as the next with the same build. There is no perfect build. As I have said in many posts qb related, the Team around the Qb dictates his build. Not the other way around. For instance, my current Qb wont be dominate on a team that likes to throw short passes, with posestion type receivers. On a team with Fast receivers, he would thrive. Where as Jeffs Qb who is high vision based, would be more adapted at playing for a team with great pos. types. He can read the cuts before they are made. That is why I use % of others to dictate my build.

What he said. Building to be successful is dependent on the team around you. For instance Jeff Garcia in real life would not be good on a team like the Rams who throw deep a lot, since he has a weaker arm. But his accuracy makes up for the strength in the West Coast, so it works.
And then there's inaccurate strong armed guys like DA who sucks anyway, but he'd suck even worse in an offense where you have to throw accurate, well-timed passes like the WCO.

Ok so the point of this is that strength is more important than what was thought?

what i learned from this is very important:
build your QB for your team
Fast WR then you need STR
poss then you need more vis

Hmmm ok. I was planning on getting my pocket presence from 6-8 and tight spiral from 5-7 when I boost next season, but now I think I'm gonna get my throwing to 70 and vision to 60 because they are very close and then put the rest in strength.

Also, why do you have an orangebloods avatar if you don't even have any players on the team?

The problem people dont realize for there Quarterbacks are they are a reactive position. You cant just blindly build a qb and expect him to perform. Alot of people out there had great Qb's last season, and this season they have failed. This is mainly do to the boosting effect. They have there wideouts that boosted and went "usually" speed. So now the average wideout runs about 55-60. Your throwing needs to be around 75% of your wideouts speed. That means you need a strength of 45 just to keep up with them.
Now the vision aspect. This is the one spot that comes iffy. Here you have to take in account the Full ability of the Wideouts, and your offensive line. The worse the players, the more vision that is needed. This comes in handy when teams are blitzing like crazy. Your qb will see this, and will throw the ball, before your wideout breaks open. Without the vision, he will stand there dumb founded and make some errant throw, just to be picked off.
Throwing. Your qb's throwing should always be the number 1 attribute. Its self explainatory.
Skill points. Pocket passer.
The Pocket Presence. This is a skill that is reactive to the oline. If you have a great online, then this one is pointless. Ill take that one extra sack every 3 games, in order to get that 1 2 or 3 points added to one of the above, and grab 6 points out the deal.
For Tight Spiral. Use the rule of thumb strenght/10 round up if possible.
Field General. This one is a good one to have, its just to expensive for my taste, and havent found a great need to use it "yet"
If you have any questions you can PM me.
The one problem I have with this is that it isn't like many players stay on a team long term so building for the team that you are playing for may bite you later with another team especially earlier on when the decisions earlier can dramatically affect your player's build as he gets in higher levels. While you may get lucky and get on a great team year after year, there are many people that have to go through the pinball act even if their player is decent.

Do you think that it's possible to have too much of any one stat, not taking into account that you'll have less than another? Meaning, will having too much of any one stat poorly affect your QB? Say, would too much Vision make him throw the ball prematurely? Like I said before, would too much Strength make him throw the ball too hard for his receivers to catch?
