Bunch/Spread was in fact that strong (against every formation too). Mike and Catch did tests on the server even to acknowledge it.

Game has changed quite a bit since that point though. Had a person been able to run like this against that formation it would have been pretty neutered.

Also in the days of Flying Pig on Machu Pichu. You almost definitely needed to hold a TE in on any sort of deep pass or it was gonna likely be a sack. But I didn't mind that as that was more of a cat and mouse game before Audibles took place. And you could power run at a defender like that too taking him out of the game. That was when it was a lot of fun to be a coordinator on both sides of the ball.

Those days are missed for sure.

In the end we are all playing the sim given, I thought DOW did pretty good against the big I pitch so I didn't run it near as much. I found a soft spot inside and hammered it, and screens made sense for what I was trying to do, I figured against a running team if I only have them the ball 20 minutes they wouldn't be able to score much. I actually went for some lower net average runs hoping I would get a lot of 3rd and 2-3s, more plays more clock chewage. Auto adjust obv fell in love with the FB but I can't control that, my scout package had 16 plays in it

It's also no different than any other season other than now its not going to change.....

We all remember season 8, I remember when strong I cross slant was unstoppable and run 15 times a game, flanker hitch, there have been many seasons with a play, or set of plays to exploit, but again being out of beta, we now have a finished product

Oh I don't fault your gameplan at all. You play the sim you are given and you do it as smart as possible. As you said in this post...

That is the only unfortunate part about it all. This has been the sim we are given for 5+ seasons now and it is getting old.

You can run it a LOT, but you can't run only it.....he'll a predominately big I rush team has yet to win it all...

I mean I ran it a lot in the reg season, but not a ton in the playoffs, the good dc's are a bit better at defending it

yeah, i won gold in Reg Pro Elite(dont laugh) and had to beat Rush Hour and Tcats team. both run 100% and tons of big i and goaline.

Not exactly sure about this. It's never fun when as a DC i know what play is coming and i still can't stop it even if i leave guys open to try and defend it. Like si slam in the early days and easy passes to TEs with super high catching in the early WL days. Triple teams couldn't stop some of those passes. The game was stupid at times.

It's ever NOT going to be boring.... The only way it will ever be that way is if the RPP is overpowered....
Now matter how the sim is there will always be certain plays that are just best

I suppose you are right. Valhalla and Blaze were unstoppable at that point.

I spent nearly 4 hours contemplating how to hold Flying Pig from ruining the offense in this game though.
