Seconded by a Portland native (Especially Apizza and Bailey's). Also... can we get a Portland Roll Call and maybe a GLB Meetup with BORT HIMSELF IN THE FLESH? Ok maybe that's too much to hope for.

Pick up any weekly magazine and go to see a band. I ran venues up there and can tell you that the music scene is one of the top 5 in America, despite being hipster heavy.

Read the reviews and pick one that sounds off beat and cool. Most bars with bands have good food, local micros, and interesting women.
