That's the main point of my issue with trading. This is a MMO not real life. Trading in a social game is pretty counterproductive. Trading pisses off a lot more users than it entertains.

Trading could be made better. Adding trade with player approval as an option to the contracts so that a player has some control over the matter. That would give teams a No trade/Trade/Trade w player approval settings. I would like for cash to matter again for teams as long as mean something to players. But thats another thread

That's another reason trading was dead. Only the noobiest of noobs would ever accept a contract that didn't have a no-trade clause.

Thats not quite true. Good owners do not need a clause to maintain good relations with players. I've never traded without consent, nor have I that I can remember. But no trades (and if implemented a Player Approval trade) are nice when you are on an unfamiliar team.

Didn't say what a good owner or a good agent needed. That's neither here nor there and is like saying that trading is supposed to work this way or that way. The fact of the matter is it didn't work as intended.

I was just stating the fact that almost every agent out there would refuse to sign with a team unless they had a no-trade clause. Agents I had known for years wanted no-trade clauses. You never know when the owner might go inactive and a GM take over the team. Only a fool would sign without a no-trade.

I reckon I am a fool. Looked through the dots I have not on my team, and about half give or take have no trade, others don't. I never looked for a no trade contract from those that did send them. Not a single player on my team has a no trade clause that I am aware of. Only known a few agents that this has ever been any sort of issue.

If you don't want to trade, keep having no trade clauses. Pretty simple. But stopping others from enjoying that part of the game when it wouldn't even affect those that don't want to participate doesn't seem to have much point.

I don't mean now, I meant back when trading was actually taking place. Trading is still allowed so I'm not really sure what your post meant when you said "stopping others". Nothing is stopping you or anyone else from trading players. I think it's pretty funny that you and others are making it out like people want to trade but are being prevented from doing so. It's quite the opposite. The ability to trade has always been around, it's just that no one cares to trade.

Not sure why people are pushing to build a new trading system in a game where it's mostly friends (IRL and in-game) that are signed up with one another.
