I also do not think I am some sort of guru on the game and try to micromanage every aspect of the game. but you continue to defend your better half named yello1 and eventually you will be in the same boat as most people here. then we will try to link this thread for you to re-read.

Ha, I hear ya. On my other game forum my opinions are about as equally well received as here, at least by some. Particularly in the political discussions. I noted the error of Bush's Iraq wars early on and it was an unpopular observation on a mostly conservative military populated site. Much fun and hilarity ensued.

And yeah, I would not use this handle on too many sites because of it. Suffice it to say it ain't my email address or on my facebook hah.

yello just takes it extremely personal when you disagree with his pov. In his mind his suggestions are so perfect he is appalled that anyone would disagree... he doesnt make a suggestion to see if others might like it, he makes suggestions that he expects to be implemented right away. In his mind this game should function the way he understands football and instead of trying to figure out the differences (refusing to accept that dotball will never be real football... well his understanding of real football) and actually learn the game for how it is, he finds it much easier to waste all of his time and energy in the suggestions forum trying to change the game so that it aligns with how he thinks the game should be played.

There is a reason why his flagship team (Offtopica Miracle) is a complete joke... only making the OPL playoffs three times out of the last 8 seasons and getting destroyed in the first round of those 3 first round games (nb4 he boasts about being 7-1 and currently tied for 1st in Alpha yet dismisses that he is 1-1 vs teams with a winning record.. one of which was a blowout loss). Its funny how he hangs on to how he made the OPL CC game his first season, S16, and the OPL Semi's his second season, S17, as some great achievement yet fails to acknowledge he was ousted from those playoff runs in games that ended 16-63 and 7-83. In his deluded mind he views that as success instead of accepting it for what it really was... OPL was terrible and his team stood no chance against the handful of teams that actually belonged there.


Hatch... pompous is one of many good descriptions for yello1... but I would say the best/most important (all the other descriptions are just a result of) is... mentally ill. I hate to be a dick but at this point it is what it is. The only people that support his delusions are those who feel sorry for him (until yello turns on them) or a few others that share his handicap (rocomo comes to mind).

The sooner you realize you are dealing with someone how has severe mental health issues the better. There is just no point in arguing with a lunatic.

As suggested below, if this is not a bug to be fixed but rather a design choice, then could we at least have a say in the form of a slider bar? Similar to the aggression slider, you could choose to spend more time eyeballing your man assignment to see if he is running a route or not, or less. The more you look the slower you are to move to your next assignment.

Well its hard to tell if this is an intentional choice, in which case giving us more tactical control is the suggestion, or if its a bug they dont care about in which case, WTF are ya gonna do.

As for the Who Said What First, I dunno. Its been a while maybe I am wrong. I can tell you that I am a real nice guy not given to telling people to get stuffed first.

I can also tell you that I do not consider the Luddite or ThisorThat Nazi to be an insult. Its not supposed to be, its supposed to be a humorous comment on the rational being used - unduly resistant to change (-1 from the hip for anything beyond cosmetic changes) or unduly judgmental (blame the dot etc.). Neither of those are bad things, they are just a way of thinking I think is not best for the game in terms of suggestions.

If someone got bent from that, my apologies but you are being overly sensitive IMO.

However I should also add that Beenlurken and i had been butting heads in the OPro forums a good long while and he stalked me out here with it. As such its entirely possible that I might have been overly grumpy in mood.

So, while I don't recall it that way, if I DID start any of this tit for tat, my apologies for showing mine first.
