This follows the league structure and also promotes Boosting and Competitiveness.

Dropped 4 leagues. These can be added back in at a later time if needed. (doubt it)

This drops 6 leagues total. Support whould have to group all the human owned teams together for this to work as well.

I also say teams should be randomly re-ordered in each league each season.

Edit: It was suggested that there we're still to many teams. I dropped 4 Minor teams.

good with everything but the random reordering each season

there are still a few rivalries out there that need to stay intact

My Final thought on this and I think it's a good one because it involves a higher turnover rate and new blood and more challenges. Plus more leagues instead of cutting back

* This will NOT eliminate any leagues
* This will require additional leagues meaning possibly more money for Bort
* This adds more competition for each league
* This will allow more movement for stale leagues

The Set Up
Gold League - 32 Teams
Silver League - 4 Leagues of 32 teams
Copper Leagues - 16 Leagues of 32 Teams

Gold League
1 League of 32 teams
16 teams form Silver will get promoted to Gold League
Whoa!!! 16 teams, all NON playoff teams drop to the 4 Silver Leagues

Silver Leagues
4 Leagues of 32 teams
All Conference Championship teams and Championship participants advance to Gold League.
All NON playoff teams in each of the 4 leagues DROP to Copper!
64 teams demote to Copper
64 teams from Copper promote here to Silver

Copper Leagues
16 leagues of 32 teams
All Conference Championship participants and Championship participants advance to Silver.
64 Teams advance to Silver
64 teams from Silver all NON playoff teams demote to Copper

Don't you think this is extreme? I feel like with the state of PeeWee we'd be promoting garbage teams to replace those of value.

I think a small top is wise (in terms of the top two leagues that seems fine), but the whole copper -> silver transition doesn't seem like it'd be very smooth.

I'd just chuck the whole rigid quantity of copper teams out the window, too. Pyramids sound nice on paper, but with pesky CPU teams it just creates a mess. It's a lot easier to concentrate your "powerhouse" teams at the top in a small structure and then sort your guys at the bottom for competition/parity. Creating a calculation to value your copper teams for promotion to Silver can be a challenge, but it's much better than seeing chicken shit promote. The saying is all too appropriate, you can't make chicken salad with chicken shit, and that's what tends to happen with rigid structures.

i actually think LE's idea is perfect apart from the silver non playoff teams dropping to copper, i would say the 4 teams with the worst records from the 4 silver leagues get demoted and then you just promote 16 humans teams (or as many as you can) to replace them, with copper just being a learning ground any human teams that are in those leagues would have learnt as much as possible in that one season so it would be a waste to keep them in that league another season imo.

Like it/agree with it if you just make copper a dynamic quantity based on supply/demand.

I don't know while y'all are so tight on having the bases of these structures be rigid. Games with CPUs aren't fun for anyone, especially when they make up the majority of your season.

I'm not so sure about LE's new suggestion. I went over the entire thread but I like the original idea.

but i dont see why they cant just adjust the leagues slightly? i honestly cant see what the problem would be?

1 Gold League = no need to change this, worst 8 records get demoted which is what it is now, but just make sure no CPU teams end up in the league!

4 Silver leagues = cut the leagues to half and we should be able to get 4 full leagues, winners and runners up get promoted to gold, everyone else stays in the league including the bottom teams (that last point can be changed)

8 Copper Leagues = this is just for the newcomers to learn and get a feel for the AI, they can test things against CPU teams and just learn as much as they can before getting promoted to silver where they will learn more and improve more

this is just a rough guide of what everyone pretty much has been asking for, i think the copper leagues isnt the issue, its the silver leagues so if your going to change anything then change the silver leagues.

just by the numbers that LE posted is alamring enough

But I agree with LE's overall message so +1

i think all in all everyone would love to have gold and the 4 silver leagues filled with human teams every season, but i think most of us are speculative of whether you guys can acheive this every season.

the past 4-5 seasons gold has been leaking more and more CPU teams and when we PM support or someone who can and should do something we just get a no or we have abused the system response, so we are trying to make it easier for you guys to do your job but yes we would love there just to be the top 5 leagues full of human teams and then copper is just for people to buy the teams and/or learn in

That's really the big dilemma that a structure change has to accomodate for. I think we hit on the same page when you talk about having copper just being a bit of a learning/holding ground until a spot in one of the silvers opens up. That's where breaking a typical pyramid structure and having a dynamic base works best. You just accommodate for whatever quantity of teams you have in copper and give them the best competition/parity you can offer.

I think PeeWee can support 5 structured leagues atm, anything more is probably cutting it close.

agreed, 5 leagues would work the best for competition purposes and having the copper there will be good for newcomers to just grab a team and learn what they can.

But this will only work best providing the admins keep up with the task of making sure the CPU teams dont creep in when they arent needed, there are alot of guys in PW that will help with telling the admins when a CPU team needs replacing etc as we already do it now but for some reason they think we are trying to do more harm than good? as you can see alot of the PW guys have spoke up to try and help improve PW not screw anyone over.
