Didn't have time to update over the weekend, as I usually don't, so here's the overdue update.
WEEK 7 RANKINGS (R = USPL rookies this season, WL = i'm sure you can figure it out)
WESTERN
1 South Georgia Growl (7-0WL)
As impressive as MEM has been, the Growl have had a similar schedule and are beating opponents by larger margins so that has to be recognized with a little bump in the standings.
2 Monmouth Evil Monkeys (7-0)
3 shutouts in a row is a testament to the strength of their defense and with Sin City next they could shoot for 4 in a row. Then they face the Growl in a game that could determine the #1 seed.
3 Tulsa Storm (7-0)
Not to be forgotten, Tulsa is still keeping pace with the above two teams after mounting a 4th Q comeback against Canton that saw them down 17-27 before they tore off 20 points while shutting out the Bulldogs.
4 Vancouver Lions (7-0R)
The Lions have shot up the rankings this season as they continue to remain undefeated but how much longer can it last. At least a week I say before the 2nd half of the season starts throwing some tougher opponents at them on a more consistent basis.
5 American Terrorists (6-1)
Riding a 5 game win streak but their opponents records leave much to be desired. The next few weeks could cement AT as a playoff team or start unraveling them.
6 Canton Bulldogs (4-3)
Fell apart in the 4th Q against Tulsa and lost a 10 point lead but it was a damn fine performance that should show teams the Bulldogs can't be taken lightly. All 3 of their losses came against the top 3 teams in the West and now they get a shot at the Terrorists which could aid their playoff seeding with a win.
7 Newfoundland Penguins (3-4)
On a 3 game losing streak that will most likely turn into 4 next week. I see at least 3 more losses on tap so the Penguins can't afford to lose many more games.
8 Covington Black Knights (3-4)
Ended a 3 game skid with a solid win over the Predators but they face 3 top ranked teams the next 3 weeks which could be their undoing.
9 5th Masterminds (3-4R)
The potential is here as displayed by close losses to Tulsa and Vancouver and with 3 winnable games coming up the Masterminds can get back in the playoff picture by making a clean sweep of those games.
10 Sin City Spoilers (3-4R)
There's a logjam with these 3 win teams trading wins and losses against each other so I'm not going to try and sort this mess out yet. The Spoilers will need to play their ball yet if they want to play up to their name against MEM next week.
11 Bay Area Bombers (2-5)
The Bombers have lost to 5 teams ranked above them and beaten two low ranked teams so they need to turn it around now if they want to work their way back into the playoff picture.
12 Stormwind City Gryphons (1-6R)
13 American Predators (1-6)
14 Arkham Asylum Jokers (1-6)
15 North Texas Timberwolves (2-5R)
16 Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders (0-7R)
EASTERN
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice (7-0)
Continuing their dominating seasons and right now I don't see a tough match-up until they face the Aggies in 6 weeks.
2 All The King's Men (6-1WL)
Back on track after the loss to the Mice and have another 2 easy games coming up before they play the Aggies.
3 Black Ops 7 (6-1)
I contemplated bumping them up to #2 since they played the Mice closer than ATKM but with a game against the Aggies coming up I decided to wait for the outcome of that match-up.
4 College Station Aggies (7-0)
The Aggies have had arguably the easiest schedule of the top 4 teams but that all changes next week when they face Black Ops. Huge opportunity to move up the rankings.
5 Atlantic City Affliction (4-3)
ACA has only one win over a solid quality opponent with 3 of their wins coming against winless teams so the next 4 weeks are going to go a long way towards cementing a playoff spot or being exposed.
6 Las Vegas Gold Diggers (4-3R)
Played ATKM pretty tough in a loss before bouncing back against the Groundhogs. Next week is looking like an easy win that will give them some time to think about any possible chinks in the Mice.
7 Wala Wala Drunken Shriners (5-2)
Coasting through this easy stretch but in 2 weeks they face the Aggies and begin a tougher stretch of games.
8 Gulf Coast Crocs (5-2R)
Got away with a 1 point victory over the Hounds and will get a chance to improve on that if they can upset AC next week.
9 Nashville Hounds (3-4)
Tough 1 point loss to the Crocs that may prove costly down the road. Can they get back on track next week?
10 Punxsutawney Groundhogs (3-4)
Should be able to tear off the next 3 as wins to get back over .500 and that leaves their playoff hopes to the last 6 games with 2 of those already looking like losses.
11 Oakland Suppressors (4-3)
4 wins all came against the 4 lowest ranked teams so there's not a quality win in there but they can start moving up with a win over the Hounds next week.
12 Philadelphia SEXY Demonik (1-6R)
13 The Outlaw Assassins (0-7)
14 Denver Giant 9'ers (0-7R)
15 Chicago Bears 85 (0-7R)
16 Minnesota Eagles (0-7)

WEEK 8 RANKINGS (R = USPL rookies this season, WL = i'm sure you can figure it out)
WESTERN
1 South Georgia Growl (8-0WL)
A lot of turnovers against the Penguins but still came out with a 21 point win.
2 Monmouth Evil Monkeys (8-0)
Notch another shutout win and next week their defense will get a big test when they face SGG in a battle of undefeateds.
3 Tulsa Storm (8-0)
Tulsa found themselves down 3-13 heading into halftime but they took over the game in the second half putting up 35 points while shutting out Covington.
4 Vancouver Lions (7-1R)
A shocking loss to the Gryphons this week. The Lions couldn't get their run game going consistently and went into the 4th down by 10. This one is going to leave a tarnish on this team for awhile.
5 American Terrorists (7-1)
Big win over Canton with Curtis "My Favorite" Martin taking over the 3rd Q with 2 big TD runs to put it out of reach.
6 Canton Bulldogs (4-4)
The Bulldogs were only down by 5 heading into the second half but within a 2 minute span they gave up 2 TD runs of almost 50 yds a piece that put the game out of reach.
7 Newfoundland Penguins (3-5)
The Penguins slide continues with a 4th straight loss and the season is starting to turn bleak.
8 Covington Black Knights (3-5)
The Knights couldn't contain the Storm in the 2nd half of the game and squandered a 10 point lead as they watched Tulsa outscore them 35-0 through the last 30 minutes.
9 5th Masterminds (4-4R)
Big shutout win over the Raiders and the next 2 weeks provide an opportunity to start cementing themselves as a playoff contender.
10 Sin City Spoilers (3-5R)
Shutout against MEM but next week they face the winless Raiders.
11 Bay Area Bombers (3-5)
The Bombers schedule is much easier now so if they are going to make a playoff push it has to start next week with a win over the Masterminds.
12 Stormwind City Gryphons (2-6R)
A huge upset win over the Lions as the Gryphons took a 10 point halftime lead and managed to hold onto that until the closing minute of the game when the Lions came within 3. Is this a turning point for this struggling franchise?
13 Arkham Asylum Jokers (2-6)
14 American Predators (1-7)
15 North Texas Timberwolves (2-6R)
16 Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders (0-8R)
EASTERN
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice (8-0)
They should take the next 4 as long as they don't overlook the Diggers. On the way to a 16-0 season if they can get past the Aggies after that.
2 All The King's Men (7-1WL)
Should coast through one more week and then they face the Aggies in a game that will shape the top 4 seeds.
3 Black Ops 7 (7-1)
Huge comeback win for BO7. After 3 quarters of having to settle for 4 FGs they were down 12-20. Then they gave up a TD in the 4th to make it 12-27 and 3 minutes later they answered back to pull within 8 again. The offense got caught for a safety though and it was a 10 point game with under 4 minutes to go. The D came up huge on the Aggies next drive with 2 sacks but then the STs unit almost gave it away by fumbling the ball on the return. Luckily BO7 recovered but with just about 2 minutes left it looked to be a lost cause. Almost 90 seconds later BO7 got in the endzone again though to make it a 3 point game with less than a minute to go. On the Aggies next drive they threw an incomplete pass on second down allowing BO7 to save a TO and then they gave up a sack to force a punting situation. Now with 28 seconds to go and a drive starting at their own 40 BO had to move the ball around 20-25 yds to set up a FG attempt and they got 19 of that on 1st down. BO7 burned their last TO and instead of going for a long FG they went for the win. They hit a 22 yd pass and with had to hurry to the line to get off their last play of the game. With 2 seconds left QB Touch Pass hit TE Brady Camp in the endzone for a huge win. They don't get much better than these games (unless you were on the Aggies sideline of course).
4 College Station Aggies (7-1)
The Aggies get their first loss and I have to wonder if things would have turned out differently had they ran the ball on 2nd down of their last drive and forced BO7 to burn another timeout.
5 Las Vegas Gold Diggers (5-3R)
While the offense was effective, if not exactly superb, this team got a lot of help from the defense and special teams to come away with another win.
6 Gulf Coast Crocs (6-2R)
The Crocs have stepped up big time the last 2 weeks with a 1 point win last week and an OT thriller this week. Next week could be ugly though.
7 Wala Wala Drunken Shriners (5-3)
Just got manhandled by Denver in the second half and with the Aggies up next things won't improve quickly.
8 Atlantic City Affliction (4-4)
Big loss in OT for ACA and one has to wonder if the next few weeks will start a downward spiral for this squad.
9 Oakland Suppressors (5-3)
Oakland stepped up when it mattered and snuck out with the win after scoring the winning TD with 4 seconds left in the game. Big step in the right direction.
10 Punxsutawney Groundhogs (4-4)
Easy win for the Groundhogs. Next week should be more of the same.
11 Nashville Hounds (3-5)
After taking a 1 point lead with a minute left in the game they give up a 24 yd TD run with 4 seconds left to lose another close game. These last 2 losses could very well cost the Hounds any shot at the playoffs this season.
12 Denver Giant 9'ers (1-7R)
13 Philadelphia SEXY Demonik (1-7R)
14 The Outlaw Assassins (0-8)
15 Chicago Bears 85 (0-8R)
16 Minnesota Eagles (0-8)

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Gryphons make the playoffs, having now played the "top 5" in their conference and the top team in the inter conference game their record doesn't show how good these guys are.

Jokers in the East are a Rookie USA Pro team. Not like it matters much, since we're just fighting to make sure we can here next season and not back in Regional Pro. Thanks for doing these E.

WEEK 9 RANKINGS (R = USPL rookies this season, WL = i'm sure you can figure it out)
WESTERN
1 South Georgia Growl (9-0WL)
Big win for the Growl as they took a 13-0 halftime lead that allowed them to outlast MEM as they were shutout 0-10 in the second half. Defense stepped up big time late in the 4th with an INT in their own endzone to stop what would have been at least a tying drive.
2 Monmouth Evil Monkeys (8-1)
Tough loss for the Monkeys as they fought back in the 2nd half to close within 3 points. A late interception in SGG's endzone ended a promising drive that could have ended with a game tying FG at the least. They get to bounce back next week against the Predators before they face Tulsa in what could determine the #2 seed.
3 Tulsa Storm (9-0)
Tulsa took apart the Jokers and now they get a struggling Penguins squad that's been on a bit of a slide the last 5 weeks. The real games to watch though come after that when they face MEM and SGG giving them a shot to move up the rankings.
4 Vancouver Lions (8-1R)
Huge comeback win for the Lions as they headed into the 4th Q down 3-24 before outscoring Canton 34-3 to take the lead. Canton came back with 2 big plays though as they took a kickoff back 90 yds for a score and then forced a fumble on the following kickoff to set up a game tying FG that sent this game into OT. The Lions D came up big with a pick 6 on Cantons first drive in OT to seal the win in what turned out to be a crazy game.
5 American Terrorists (8-1)
AT is sitting in a pretty comfy spot right now but they still have to face the current top 3 teams in the final 5 weeks of the season.
6 Canton Bulldogs (4-5)
Tough loss for Canton as they gave up a commanding 27-3 lead in the 4th Q as the Lions went on to score the next 34 points. Canton fought back into it though scoring 10 points in a 15 second span that sent the game into OT but the offense threw a pick 6 that sent Canton home with their 3rd loss in a row.
7 Newfoundland Penguins (4-5)
Solid win over the Preds ends a 4 game losing streak but the next 3 weeks could be ugly for the Penguins leaving the final 4 games as must wins.
8 5th Masterminds (5-4R)
Solid win for 5th this week after taking a 24-3 lead into halftime. Almost all of their remaining games are against playoff hopefuls so the next 5 games will ultimately determine if this squad makes it to the playoffs.
9 Covington Black Knights (3-6)
With 4 of the top 5 teams out of the way can Covington find a way to fight back into the playoff picture?
10 Sin City Spoilers (4-5R)
Big win but next week will be a big loss.
11 Bay Area Bombers (3-6)
The Bombers are in must win mode now to have any shot at the playoffs after the latest loss. The schedules not horrible but it's one hell of a mountain to climb.
12 Stormwind City Gryphons (3-6R)
Finally string together back to back wins but like BAB they really can't afford another loss.
13 Arkham Asylum Jokers (2-7)
14 American Predators (1-8)
15 North Texas Timberwolves (2-7R)
16 Wisconsin Rapids Red Raiders (0-9R)
EASTERN
1 South Otto Fragile Porcelain Mice (9-0)
Just waiting for week 13.
2 All The King's Men (8-1WL)
Big game next week against the Aggies that will help shape the top 4 seeds. I'm sure there's no doubt that the current top 4 will be the ones at the top come end of season but where they land will largely be determined in the next 4 weeks.
3 Black Ops 7 (8-1)
Outlasted the Crocs as the offense was held out of the endzone all game. Defense was huge as they held the Crocs under 200 total yards and forced 4 fumbles.
4 College Station Aggies (8-1)
The Aggies only loss so far was a close one to BO7 and now they have a shot at making up for it when they play ATKM in a bid to move up the rankings.
5 Gulf Coast Crocs (6-3R)
A tough loss to BO7 but this team fought hard against a highly ranked team and that alone deserves a little rankings love.
6 Las Vegas Gold Diggers (5-4R)
Big loss but this squad should take at least 3 of the next 4.
7 Wala Wala Drunken Shriners (5-4)
The next 4 weeks are going to go a long way towards determining Wala's playoff fate. All their opponents are battling for a playoff spot and with only 1 sure win left on the schedule the Shriners are going to have to bring their A game every week from here on out.
8 Oakland Suppressors (6-3)
Big win for Oakland and with most of their remaining games being against teams ranked above them, 3 of which look to be almost guaranteed losses, it's do or die time.
9 Atlantic City Affliction (4-5)
Failed to get anything done in the second half until a garbage time score made this one look closer than it was at that point. That was a loss ACA really couldn't afford at this point of the season with so many teams just a game or two apart in the standings.
10 Punxsutawney Groundhogs (5-4)
Enjoying the easy break right now but that won't last much longer. The Groundhogs better not overlook 1-win Denver either as they already shocked Wala Wala.
11 Nashville Hounds (4-5)
That win over Philly looked to be the easiest game they had remaining on schedule so the Hounds will be have to be fighting for it all every week from here on out.
12 Denver Giant 9'ers (1-8R)
13 Philadelphia SEXY Demonik (1-8R)
14 The Outlaw Assassins (1-8)
15 Chicago Bears 85 (0-9R)
16 Minnesota Eagles (0-9)
WESTERN
1 South Georgia Growl (9-0WL)
