Look, I am mad at the way it was handled, this is my word but over a message board you can take it for however you like. If the LA Looters lost the first game, not one post would have been made by me or our team becasue we actually had our Game Plan and Depth Chart set and ready for the game the previous night, so if we lost we just Flat Out Lost. (and the fact we didnt change our Game PLan at all for the second game shoud tell you how much time we put into it)
Now I dont think Omaha changed thier tactics becasue it seemed the game played out the same way but much closer, first game 26-12 (us 2 TDs, 3 FGs; them 4 FGs) Next game 16-13 (us 3 FGs, 3 Missed FGs, 1 TD; them 1 TD and 2 FGs), now the yardage changed but that could have just been the sim itself. NOTE: I dont care if they did change, I was expecting it and understood why those that did change, changed. And Give major Respect to those that didnt!!!!!!!)
My Biggest problem is for the Superior teams, it gives them an edge over the inferior teams they play (not talking Omaha vs Kansas City either, more like Looters vs Naturals). For us to beat the Naturals we need a great game plan and the right advanced Tactics, if we had prepared for the game the night before and Won, it would be MUCH, MUCH harder to beat the Naturals a second time, especially with some knowledge of our plan vs them.
IMO the Re Sim made sure the better team won. I will use last years playoffs and a team called the Tecmo All Stars, when they lost they said they would have won 9 out of 10 games. If that game was re simmed, Tecmo would have advanced, or at least would have had 2x better chance of winning that game.
Personally I like Baton Rouge and Bridge City, good teams, good players, good owners, but IMO Baton Rouge right now is the better team (the superior team) and regardless of what happened in the first game they had a better chance to win the second game becasue of it. Superior teams have more options in what they can do, and seeing a loss can motivate owners and GMs.
After a day and no more anger I think there are 2 things we can do to avoid these situations later.
1. Prepare Early, have your Game Plan set before 11pm PST the night before your game, and your depth chart.
2. Set all your Tactics to 100% in one category, then change it about 4 hours before the sim starts taking place (4pm PST). That way if this does happen again, the game plan will be one that you would NEVER Run in any Game, and could actually throw whoever tries to scout a BS Simmed game off a bit.
