With how few tackles attempts they get is tackling really worth it.......

seeing how few sacks DTs get is it worth taking tackling up in expense of speed and going for a MH or FF% piece. I mean seriously if ur gonna get a handfull of sacks why not try to add a couple of FFs to the stat-line. Or are DTs traveling at min speed at point of attack and FFs are just not gonna happen due to game mechanics?

I happen to be a high tackling fan although many DTs seem to neglect it and do fine. You're both right...anyone else have an opinion on this?

I like high TCK on DTs because it increases tck radius. I notice my DTs catching more HBs from behind with diving tcks after you get TCK to 77+. I even add Diving TCK SA to all my DTs now. Also high TCK allows you to use the Power Tackler VA so you get the FF bonus but also the bonus to TCKling behind the LOS

I think DTs get more tackling attempts than many people think, they just don't show up in the play by play or box score as missed tackles.

Maybe rather than tackle attempts not being shown up you could argue that they get tackle opportunities that they may have been able to turn into attempts if their tackling and thus their tackling radius was higher....?

85 natural tackling, going to add 6 more with Textbook Tackler and see what happens this season. I'll let you all know what happens... I pretty much sold out the build to be tackling/fumble forcing, and his stats don't really reflect it. I am hoping when the build rounds out he will end up being quite good (no SA's yet other than AEQ). I can tell you one thing I have learned from this dot: The most important part of being a DT is still being able to break blocks and pancake linemen, no matter how good you are at other things.

Guys,

What's the current wisdom on when to start putting points into SA's? After capping out your primary att's?
