if you analyze the Pubes schedule... you'd find they've played the current 7th and 8th seeds... and played nobody higher.

I'll say they've won a few games I didn't think they'd win... but who's gonna pick them over Hague, BSS, Pinoy, Kosovo??? And I bet they'll have their hands full in a few other games.

best case scenerio Pubes finish 11-5... #6 seed.

That said Hague will win out and be the #3 seed... see you 1st round chumps!

I hear you - I am just saying that they have come in and backed up their talk, to this point anyway. Too often the team that comes in yakking ends up doing squadoosh once the season starts.

Cubes is probably the best team to come up here after Hague.
They're like the second coming of Hague this season. Big props to the owner/coordinators of Cubes.

And to add, Stuttgart is also doing a damn good job as well.
There's more than a handful of pretty good young teams this season which is a huge plus for EEPL.

All bullshit aside... Cubes are definately a solid young team. When they hit L72, they might even kick Hague's ass.

But their success has a lots to do with the poor Pro level of competition. IMO... a L66 team should not be able to make Pro playoffs.

There was a time the best L66 team would be lucky to win 2 games in EE Pro. Pro is now the new AAA league.

Vern Fonk is the best young pro team I've seen in many seasons. 7-2 with both losses being by 1 score to Arkadak and Stewart. Check their player ages. Best young team in EEPL no question.

Cubes have backed up their talk, though. I could see them losing every game from here out, or coming close to losing out anyway...Still, not a bad showing considering their age.

Unsure about Vern...looking REALLY good so far, no doubts, but I'd like to see how they do down the stretch...if they hold what they have been doing, I will completely agree with you.

Hell, Sparta was like 4-1 a few seasons ago with a complete CPU roster

Yeah I forgot all about Vern Fonk. I saw them like around season 15 or 16 when I had a few players on Connecticut Wolverines. They (Vern Fonk) were pretty good that time so I'm not surprised that they are doing well at this level.

There wasn't an extended plateau in existence, nor did we have a farm team/desire to recruit random people or players to stay relevant. We hit decline, so it was either start over or watch as our players grew old and became more terrible than they already were.

I also believe it was announced we were going to start over even before our playoff run that season, so I don't know why people use gutting as an insult. Just call us assholes or say we suck.

lol look at all this attention! makes me all warm and fuzzy inside

i'm a little disappointed about the pros too.. we expected to finish this season at something like 4-12 or 5-13. but then again you guys have gotten soft. back in our first run through, there were never any "cubes are pretty good" or "they back up their trash talk" kinda posts

ahh there we go, i'm glad ppl like JT are still around. and of course we gutted. like herbal said, we dont recruit, we dont do networks, and we dont do farm teams. we spent a few seasons in the pros with our shitty dots, took our shot, lost in the CCG twice, decline started, and we dropped. granted you took a different path... aka sellout your own team and then start making HOOD threads.

i remember vern from a few seasons ago. looking it up, we won our only matchup by 5. they snuck about... 10? dots into their roster since (the rest is the same age as ours, IIRC we came up the capped leagues at the same time).

i've always thought we were the best team in our age range, and proved it dozens of times, winning capped leagues, age limited tournies, and having never lost a single league/playoff/tournie game to any team with dots our age. but of course, now we get the "you peaked too early" argument, so we'll have to prove it again.
