Ok so far...

USA 1
EEPL 0

Covington and Ironmen have both played their game already. If EEPL doesn't play another game with USA within a week they lose by default.

Imho this should be like top 16 vs top 16.

No one on earth thinks the bottom half of ANY pro league is strong, and all we are doing by including like 25 teams each is having a bunch of new AAA promotes duke it out with each other under a league tag that they hardly know imo.

Agreed to top 16 v 16 approach. If we have more than 16, they can play exhibition games, but we can vote on the top 16 teams and those will be the games that count in the tourney.

The entire point of a league challenge is to see what league top to bottom is better it is also to unite leagues and instill league pride by involving everyone to exclude teams would be insane

With that said if usapl can't match eepls number of teams then we will simply cut off our rankings based on how many teams usapl can produce so if usapl can only put up 18 teams for example the eepl will put its top 18 up for the cvhallenge

Covington is one of the young teams here in USAPL. I would very much like to participate in the league challenge. To help show that USAPL is the top Pro league in GLB. We may not be one of the top team's here, but we will game plan and play any team hard, win or lose. My team is no slacker and we do come to play.

It's not a question of finding out if the bottom half of any league is ready to promote. It's a question of finding out which league is stronger overall, and that includes guys like the 9-10-11 seeds in conferences. It may not include teams full of CPUs, but they're not going to sign up to participate anyhow.

The newcomers are part of your league, too. This is a big part of the reason why we get several games out of the way before ranking teams for the challenge. In general, our new teams will be facing your new teams.

Wow. 5 EEPL'ers immediately start howling! Joined by 1 newb owner from here. I have to wonder why EEPL is so afraid to match up our top 16 to their top 16? Because they know they can't beat the top half of our league but are hoping to get lucky against the new owners. Very sad EEPL. I have to say I'm even more convinced now that it's the best idea to vote our top 16 and play those. If other teams want to play exhibition games, go at it, but the top 16 should be the ones that decide which league is stronger.

League = 32 teams

32 teams does make an entire league, however;
The only problem is that a 32 seed beating a 32 seed carries the same weight as a top-seed beating a top-seed in the 32 game go-round.

Whichever way it gets set up, EE has a great chance as USAPL is meh about it. It's like the guy in the Mustang who races when the light turns green and the Ferrari just casually cruises when the light changes. The Ferrari doesn't need to prove it...it's already known
ie: 6 WL teams from USA vs 3 from EE. (The last 4 WL Champions)
