lol alpine's wepl conference was much better than the usapl conferences the previous season. much more interesting season than last season sleepwalking and intentionally running shitty offense/defense in the 1st and 2nd round of the usapl playoffs to throw MM off. Not to mention that wepl zeta is the only conference promoting 2 wl teams
hounds/mem are good but just that. They're in the same boat as like 8 teams or so promoting that are all good and can definitely make the playoffs but a slip up here nad there and they might end 1-2 games out. D9 is the same way and while i think they're really good, i think people are overrating them a bit. Definitely is Kai/Whores who are playoff locks and then a clump of like 8-9 teams who are good but are not locks in terms of new teams
well, wepl zeta and whatever conference sends someone up to replace valhalla. (do we know who this is yet?)

oh snap. They did go 16-0 it seems. Though would be fun to see more scrims from them. Congrats to them though
sucks it was so late that they got screwed in recruiting. For most teams, they need that "new wl team" thing to get a couple dots in hopes to stay afloat and make the playoffs the 1st season and then be able to parlay that into "returning WL team" status to get more good builds to improve until maybe a dedicated farm team is ready. Or you could just build a super team yourself like w_alloy

And ya, we recruited right out of the gate on day 42, built a solid roster to give us a two seasons window to win OPRO. The bad part is, that doesn't translate well into a WL roster. THe good news is, no matter what, we return the same roster next season, whether we are up here or back in OPro. So if it turns out we go back, we have a good shot of being right back up.
We'll do what we can and let the chips falls where they may.

Pretty good, I'd say Alpine in place of Valhalla now. Also Cobra Kai will make the playoffs unless they try to lose games. I think Speyside may ruffle some feathers also.
Speyside sucks, pay no attention to them.
Also our coordinators suck and management is even worse.

I wish you guys the best of luck but this worries me here
Yea, speyside is no joke. Their builds were a bit young last season and started to round out by the playoffs. Their coordinators are very good as well which was the first thing we noticed at alpine before playing them in the finals. Have solid chem right now so i'm guessing they just upgraded a few dots after getting to WL and are mostly intact

I think you got a puncher's chance of staying, if your talent is comparable to what you had last ssn. You spanked my TMI team twice. Granted, we had a few holes, but also had at least 32 that are now on WL teams and another 10 or so that are good enough that they could have been. Granted, being a ssn older will make a big dif on some of them, but it shows the quality of builds you were kicking around the dotball field.
Thanks

Honestly, I think we actually have a better roster than last season. But, it's a younger roster and the lack of VA's is what worries me compared to what we well be up against.

Won't lie....the lack of VAs and SAs (assuming they are a little light on SAs, since they get added last) hurts. The 1st ssn I took over the shockers, we had damn good builds, but were young and hurt badly by the lack of VAs & SAs. the true bitch of building is that VAs and AEQ have become more important that the skills portion of a build (skills still important, obviously, but not as much so)

Ya, agreed. TBH, one side of me wishes we had another year in OPL so I could get everyone set up the way my coordinators want them with VA's and AEQ.
But the competitive side of me answered Bort's post in my team thread in 45 seconds.
Really, there wasn't a whole lot to think about.
We'll make due, make some AEQ and VA's changes, and see what we can put out on the field.
