That is an interesting idea, having "One-And-Done" be an option when you create a player, they would cost half as much to create (and therefore to boost) and CE should just be unable to be purchased for these players.

Have only had my PeeWee for 3 seasons.
Problem I see are the different groups players that come to the PeeWee's.
One group builds a player just for one season in PeeWee then retires them. They aren't looking for any long term commitment to any team after PeeWee and often never add even the basic equipment pieces to their player. Usually they go inactive for weeks at a time and lose training points.
The second group are the sl.....o....w builders who never boost or add CE. Maybe 10 seasons done the road they do gain something over the players that do buy equipment and/or boost. They usually fall behind their peers quickly and disappear for days at a time too.
The third group usually comes from the more committed agents/players who look to continue on with other teams after Pee Wee. They usually add CE, special (advanced) equipment & boost pimarily to maximize the player's skills for the future. Of the 3 groups, these players are almost always active & have their training up to date.
Unfortunately, when signing PeeWee players, you just don't know which type of player you are signing unless you know the agent involved. Even then it's not always a certainty.
For the first two groups, equipment fund money alloted often goes unused. And unfortunately for Pee Wee, you can't take it with you (team) for the next season.
I'd rather see new players be required to add full equipment and boost +3 immediately so I know they have some commitment to the game. If they aren't interested enough to participate in a team, go join a development league.
Having been a team owner since season 2 and had hundreds of players cycle thru my teams, I'm using the Pee Wees as a means to find good agents & future players so with the present rules, I'd find it difficult to say that I'd commit to players who don't make the best of themselves during their first season.
Again, maybe with all the system & rule changes coming next season, that could change.

What about this?
You could designate him for PeeWee only (hell make it an Archetype). Then at the end of each season all his attributes are set back to the beginning and you can keep your custom equipment (i.e. you do not have to recreate him each season nor do you have to buy custom each season). You can however boost each season. He would keep his days old (who cares if he is 300 days old as long as his build is reset at the end of each season). So he would not be able to boost after being 440 days old. He could also decline in seasons beyond that (force players to retire and recreate and buy custom again).
This puts the players on the exact same level as regular players:
Cost to create is the same
Cost of custom is the same (you only have to buy once)
Cost to boost is the same
Retirement - return flex is the same.

That sounds like a good idea as well Bevo... make a suggestion thread about it IMO.

People who are building for the future can just wait till day 40 to boost/ce.

What I just don't understand is how you think you can "blacklist" and basically shun someone for boosting. It's a part of the game and in all honesty, why can't I boost my players if I have already paid the money to buy flex points?

I didn't intend to do that, the point is if you AGREE to not boost and then change your mind right before a playoff game against other teams agreeing not to boost, that you would then be blacklisted.
Only leagues where 100% of the owners agree should bother to go non-boosting, as if a team has guaranteed they will indeed boost then I'd hate to ask anyone else in the league not to.
I in no way support anyone pressuring anyone not to use Flex Points as they wish, this is merely a place for teams who don't wish to do this, but are only forced to in order to stay competitive to sign up.

I understand. I feel like the only league that you're gonna get a WHOLE league would be the gold league, maybe. Silver and Copper leagues all have team owners that aren't very inactive and don't check forums very often.

I support it. I'm involved with Cascade and Tombstone in Gold and I know they support the idea. My team will support it as well.
We need to discuss why we are doing this and what changes we would like to see...
No custom EQ until level 16? - I think this will classified as a NGTH
Or
Higher rate of flex return based on player's age
1 season - 90%
2 seasons- 80%
3 seasons- 70% and beyond

.
I see what you're saying.. but you can explain this is your contract offer. When I was looking for new agents I would send a message similar to the one below..
WIN NOW team , must boost and CustomEQ - would like a run stopping DE to hit the 68 cap in strength.
You have to communicate with the agent what type of player you are looking for. This reduces agent/team issues drastically.
You can get more detailed.. but that seem to work for me.

I think we can use this thread to discuss it, as of right now the general idea has been just to get a change to the Flex Point economy for pee-wee leagues.
