NPN has already played D9 in a ranked game (tournament).
NPN plays Carthage in a ranked game tomorrow (tournament).

EE has already played D9 in a ranked game.
EE plays the winner of the Carthage vs NPN game in the tournament championship

We wanted to avoid repeats or potential repeats as best as possible.

While Alpine and Lyon ended up with the lofty task of going up against Carthage and D9, two teams in APL are in the same boat as Rhodesia gets EE and Swaziland gets NPN.

We were short on time. I've seen in the past where organizers have tried to build the rankings based on inputs on the forums and it dragged on and on. When we started this, I believe the season was already halfway over and we wanted to get all the games in before the end of the regular season.

Hays wouldn't have allowed for rematches either way. We knew before we tried to rack and stack either league that we'd have to do some jockeying at the top to make it work.

Really doesn't seem that big a deal the rankings and matchups. Lyon has a shot at D9 and alpine definitely does against carthage. It'll sort itself out. No worries

Based on their current body of work through 30 April, I think you have to give the nod to EE as the top ranked team in WEPL.

I had EE #1 and NPN #2.

evil empire, naples, carthage, and D9 had all played, or were possibly going to play each other. the 3rd and 4th teams from both leagues are very good teams. it wasn't like we put D9 against a scrub or something.

anyways, three games today. europe can lock it up, or africa can climb back in...

yeah, I wouldn't read anything into it. I threw a few plays in and just got extremely lucky that they matched your D well (didn't look at your D at all, just pure luck...I'm on my anniversary and wife would have castrated me if I'd have been spending time on GLB). If we'd been scouting each other, I'd surely have went for others, you'd surely done things different and it's a completely diff dotball game. I look at games like these as complete rolls of the dice. We rolled poorly against EE & NPN. So, we were due for a good roll against WEPL.

GL the rest of the way out!

actually you guys weren't moved at all because of the matchups. you guys would've played LUX regardless.
