Clearly James Harrison and the rest of the defense was MVP.... even if they almost blew it at the end... they carried the rest of the game.. and the season...

Holmes has been known to have attitude problems alongside his conduct problems, but I don't stand by Big Ben... I wish they would have traded him the hype isn't worth it, hes not even that good.

Check your research before you say Holmes wasn't MVP. If you don't think 9 catches for 141 yards and the game-winning and probably one of the best TDs in SB History doesn't make him MVP, you are not a football fan. Although the defense was good, Holmes is why we they won.

I was never dissing Holmes as he is a great young receiver, just saying that Wrs are expendable while Qbs are not.

Jets are vastly improved this year. Already had a great defense now added some weapons. I think two teams that will surprise a few folks are the Houston Texans and The Jets.

Comment wasn't aimed at you at all. I agree with you. And screw those damn Spurs. I take them game 1, they lose, I take Mavs the next 3 and they lose, then I take spurs again and once again lost. Might as well quit now.

Knicks fan, so I couldn't give a damn. Hoping LeBron doesn't win it all so he comes to NY.

Research? Stop trying to just nitpick someones argument, I clearly stated that he didn't earn MVP that he just received the reward... I also said that he didn't do well besides the final drive (at least 5 of his catches came from the final drive) and that he doesn't deserve getting credit for catching well thrown passes on the final drive, rather the defense deserves credit for managing to keep them close enough to win it despite playing one of the most freak offenses of NFL history (as far as its random ability to succeed despite opposition).

My research is that I live and die Steelers and you having to bring wikipedia in the argument more than proves to me you are lacking in "basic" Steelers knowledge and should step down off your soap box long enough to actually read my post rather than attempt to troll it.

Sorry I didn't look into the official team site, but I will next time just for you

The defense also lost it. They basically blew it IF IT WASN'T FOR HOLMES. Sure, you need someone to throw it to you and not crack under the pressure, but that endzone catch, was all Holmes. And who cares if 5 catches were on the final drive? That just makes it even better to give him MVP, as it's showing he comes through in the clutch. If he doesn't get MVP, who do you think does? Or should we make 11 MVP trophies for the whole starting Steelers D? Come on man.

James Harrison who, upon only instinct (as he strayed from the defensive call), turned a clear touchdown for the Cardinals into a touchdown for the Steelers, all on the last play of the half while breaking more tackles than any Steelers RB COMBINED for the ENTIRE NIGHT all on one play. He had 106 yards, close to holmes, not to mention sacks and tackles. He was also pretty much responsible for 14 points (taking away 7 from one team add 7 to another, same as scoring 14) clearly higher than holmes.

Holmes got it because he did the spectacular play later in the game than Harrison, but clearly it was half, if not a third as much spectacular.

Seriously? A third? Most players in the NFL would not even come close to making that catch. Harrison's play was unusual, and that's all he did for the night. Holmes was consistent all night and it just happened that he came up big on the last drive, thus earning him MVP. I'm not disagreeing with you that there were other choices for it, as I could name 4-5 players that probably deserved it, but Holmes definitely earned it.
