i'm trying to get across i disagree, but whatever, do what you like if you can. It should start at the copper level then so you know right away not after you've planned and worked on something for 2 plus seasons.

Just wondering as to why you disagree? Pee Wees restart every season so you can't really "work" on a team for two seasons. I am saying just as Gerr says learn from someone then do it yourself or get someone who is not apart of another gold team (coaching wise) once you are able to make it here.

Again this is not geared toward you, for all I know he did teach you and you are running the show, but I am just going by what most teams are doing here in gold.

You can keep your elitism to yourself. Your idea is complete fail, suggesting that someone who has spent a ton of flex on a team over the course of seasons has to be removed from a team because they have sucess.

This, and I would add, I don't know what the hell I am up to most of the time, as well.

As for this thread, I can see the merits of some points made on both sides. The only point I agree with 100% is I also feel uncomfortable knowing 1 coach is working 2 teams in the same conference. Agents who work 2 teams in opposite conferences don't concern me in the least. i.e. LE with SB and ACS. We don't play the same opponents and the odds of us meeting in a Title game are astronomical, imo.

I think the bottom line is, I think, that most of the agents and teams do a pretty good job at policing themselves in this coaching regard. It's not perfect but I honestly don't see any flagrant violators. Some have voiced their concern over the Surly Goats being in the west with their coaching makeup being the same/similar to Tombstone. First off, GLB obviously didn't care since they basically ignored the Goats request to switch conferences and the Goats tried to switch by asking if an east team would switch with them. It didn't work out. I can say, I'm not losing any sleep over the Goat/Tombstone situation tho.

Over all I think the discussion has been pretty good in raising the concern over "perceived" cheating and/or taking advantage of certain situations, but as I alluded to earlier, I think the overall integrity of the Gold league participants is pretty good. I really have no answers to Gerr's concerns but I do know that if this game comes to a point where it dictates who can play and/or coach for any particular team, then I think we'll be seeing the start of decline in Gold League. A lot of the fun factor is sharing the play experience with friends. Lose that and we risk the loss of GLB enjoyment.

If winning by any means necessary is happening thru shared info now, and I'm not saying it is, then I don't see how you stop that with the proposals by Gerr. A "banished" coach who wants to say with a team as an lolgm, can simply pm the owner with detailed instructions each game on how to set the AI. How do you stop that? You can't. In the end, if it's really a problem, Bort will get involved, but I wouldn't hold your breath. As long as we all self police ourselves in an honorable manner as we all have done pretty much, then I think we'll be ok.

That's actually the plan. I came in last season and ran their defense for them and showed DTD how my system is done. This season, he is running the defense with my assistance. Next season, I drop off the team totally and DTD does the defense totally. He is free to ask me questions in a PM, but I won't be on his team.

And if you think I am full of it, ask knope of Mister Miyagis Mafia. I did this exact same thing for him, and this is the 1st season I am not on his team as I had been on the previous two.

DTD is right, while I would prefer if no team in Gold shared anything other than a LOL-GM, it's most important from within the same division. And if you think this is a dumb idea, how many college and NFL teams share even one person in their front office?

i dont get why you think its okay to get a team to gold then ditch them? thats worse than staying with them IMO...people should get to Gold by themselves or with the coaches they are bringing to Gold

how many NFL teams bring in coaches for the playoffs? did the Colts pull in Rex Ryan for the super bowl?

i don't think you are full of it at all. I was trying to make a point. if dtd was tellimg me i need to take my lumps and learn to play the game on my own lol,he should start with himself. Having one of the best DC's on his team who has no plans of continuing with the team is funny to me.

I just find it wrong to compare to nfl teams, they get paid, and teams are worth millions. we pay to play and this rule would be like a gun law. sure, law abiding people wont have them, but people that want them will still have them.

That has to be one of the stupidest posts I have ever seen... really please just stop talking for all of us. Gerr is on to help us out and not continue with us if we make it to gold or not. I am learning to play myself which is the point Gerr and I are trying to make. I am learning to play on my own just with help to get me started off... You have kept the help throughout your time in Pee Wees and your "help" has been with your team the whole time, and he is probably the one who got you to gold...Maybe you just can't read? or what? Gerr is on to teach me how to run a defense not to stay with the team forever and run the D himself.

I'd rather play the best and gameplan everygame rather than someones first attempt at DC'ing in gold.

Yes but I don't think you are seeing the point... You still have the Gold owner with your team as a coach, and I am guessing he still runs something? Gerr would be leaving the team if we make gold. Yes we are doing a similar thing, but this thread isn't about that, it is about agents (mainly in the same division) that coach for more than one team in gold.
