A (long) question:

Let's say team A and team B plays the game 28 (these are two undefeated teams), and team A wins the game and goes to finals. (again let's say) Team B plays the game 29 and wins. In this case, team A and team B will play against each other for 2nd time. Let's say this time, team B wins the game, so they win the tournament. In this case, team A has only 1 lost, team B also has only 1 lost. Both of them lost against each other but Team B is the champion.

Another situation, team A defeats team B on first round, then wins rest of all games and goes to final. Team B wins the rest of all games and goes to final, too. At the finals, team B (or any other team who lost at first round) wins this time. Again, both finalist teams have only 1 lost but team B gets the championship cup.

Both situations seem unfair to me.

Sorry for my bad English, I'm not a native English speaker, I hope I'm clear.

Suggestion:

Because this is a Double Elimination tournament, any team shouldn't be out until getting 2 loses. So for the above situations, if team A loses against team B, team A and team B should play again (so team A or team B lose 2nd time and eliminated). In short, winner of game 28, shouldn't be eliminated if they lose the game 30, instead they should re-match.

Well I don't think that my team will go for the finals, but eliminating a team with only 1 lost (on a double elimination tournament) doesn't seem right to me.

What do you think?

I tend to agree with mow. If you're going to eliminate teams when they get their second loss, and one (or both) of the two teams in the championship don't have two losses, they should have to play multiple games until one or the other team has two losses (or until one concedes).

But I don't have a horse in this race, so take my opinion with a grain of salt.

I'll go with this. It takes two wins for the loser bracket winner to win the championship.
