A strong showing by Cary, and who would have thought they would be leading the pack here in the western conference? Of course it’s still early and the real competition is still waiting for them.
Yup, the six of the next seven games are against playoff teams from last year. We will quickly find out if we deserve the label, "Contender" or "Pretender".

A few solid matchups here in week 3 that will definitely drop the number of undefeated teams here in the west.
So without further ado, we’ll get started. This is SportsCenter.
Cary Carpetbaggers v Omaha Shockers
Well, this Cary team has really turned around since last season and now they sit atop the leaderboard at 2-0. The numbers give the Carpetbaggers the edge in this matchup but Omaha showed last week that they care nothing for numbers. Now we finally get to see how far Cary has come. If they can score against this tough Omaha defense, they may have a chance. But despite what the numbers say, Cary is the underdog in this matchup.
13-7 Shockers
Houston Outlaws v Los Angeles Sweetness
Well, the Sweetness haven’t shown any life all year. This will be a walk in the park for the Outlaws… Maybe a competition will wake LA up… lets see who can score the most against this struggling team. The Warriors lead with 67. Am I being cruel?
40-0 Outlaws
Hollywood Stars v Kansas City Wiz
This is a big game for both the Stars and the Wiz. The Wiz are looking to remain undefeated and show the league that last year’s playoff win wasn’t a fluke. The Stars are looking for revenge and also to blow off steam after a tough loss to the Thunder last week. This one will probably come down to who has the better game plan. But the Wiz’s inability to control BC’s ground game last week gives me reason to be concerned about their defensive ability against the Stars. Either way, this ones gonna be close.
14-13 Stars
BC Lions v El Paso Bandits
The Lions put up some decent offensive yards against the Wiz last week. Lets see if they can start getting into the end zone. The Bandits may find themselves in for a tougher game than they expected.
13-7 Bandits
Houston Panthers v South Texas Thunder
The Thunder has been on a roll, knocking off two tough opponents early. They’re going to continue to play strong football in the west and, by the numbers, should win comfortably here in Houston. But the Panthers seem like they’ve been busy, picking up a score of human players and kicking out those CPUS. If they get a good game plan out there they could make the Thunders sweat on the sidelines.
24-13 Thunder
Honolulu Warriors v The Elite Sea Team
After a tough loss against the Shockers the Warriors are no doubt out for blood. The Elite Sea team has struggled defensively early in the season and will probably continue to have problems keeping teams out of the red zone this game. Their offense needs to really excel to carry this one, but a strong Warriors defense will make that difficult.
27-16 Warriors
TEAM Chuck Norris v Scranton Tunas
TEAM Chuck Norris opened the season with two strong opponents and wont find any reprieve this week against the Tunas. After shutting out a revitalized Terror team, the Tuna should have no problem stuffing that infamous roundhouse kick.
22-0 Tunas
Oakland Terror v Riverside Renegades
After a surprising shutout against the Tuna last week, the Terror will need to do better on their home field. Both of these teams are looking for their first win, but, after a good showing against the Outlaws, it seems like the Renegades will get it while the Terror will have to go on waiting.
16-10 Renegades

Wow, some good games this week! Looks like the only complete mismatch is the Outlaws vs LA. That's presuming the Panthers are able to make good use of their new talent against the Thunder.

Here in week 3 the east has a lot of games that will give the middle tier a chance to show their stuff. Lets take a look.
Pittsburgh Irons v New York Doom
Well, the Irons got a touchdown last week against the Carniceros, but way too late to really count. This week they play the Doom and may not be able to score at all. The Doom has had a few kinks in their defensive armor at the start of this season. Most concerning was that those scores came early in the game. Hopefully they can pull their first shutout of the year.
44-0 Doom
Palmyra Cougars v Indianapolis Gangsters
The Cougars have only been able to put up a pitiful field goal all season. And unfortunately for them the next three weeks wont be easy. But it seems like they’ve picked up a few recruits and that should definitely help for the rest of the season. These recruits get to cut their teeth against the toughest defense in the east.
38-0 Gangsters.
Charlotte Clamjousters v Miami Carniceros
I’m not sure what to make of the Carniceros yet. But this week I should be able to get a better picture. They play one of the top teams in the east this week. The Clamjousters gave the Gangsters hell of a fight early in the season and they should be able to contain Miami’s high-level team. Of course, for Miami, this is a chance for them to show that they also belong in that top tier.
17-6 Clamjousters
Miami Sharks v Albany Mammoths
Miami and Albany have both played pretty well early in the season and this game should be a close one. I’d give Miami the edge based on the way the teams performed against the Elite. However, Albany showed they really know what they’re doing when they played the Ho Playbook to a field goal. Should be a good game in Miami.
17-16 Sharks
Ho Playbook v Montpelier Morticians
The Playbook play the Morticians after easily offing the Irrelevants. As a top tier team, Ho should have no problem w/ the Morticians. Montpelier’s depth chart is still a big “?” and their lack of depth will keep them from staying competitive in this one.
20-6 Playbook
St. Louis Beer Barons v Cleveland Steamer
Well, the Steamer got their first win of the season last week but will have a tough time getting another in the next few weeks. The Beer Barons shouldn’t have a problem here at home and will most likely be looking ahead to the matchup with the Gangsters next week. However, if they don’t pay enough attention the Steamers might steal a “W.”
17-3 Beer Barons
Tampa Elite v Radio City Irrelevants
Both the Elite and the Irrelevants opened the season with some disappointing losses. The situation is more dire in Radio City as the Irrelevants only managed a field goal in two games. Look for Tampa to pick up the win here as they’re likely to be able to keep the Irrelevants out of the end zone.
13-6 Elite
Chicago Dire Wolves v Nashville Dores
Well, another two winless teams. But even with a horde of CPU players, Nashville has shown that they have some offensive flash. If the Wolves aren’t careful, they could end up 0-3. However, the Wolves have been playing more like a tier 2 team so they should have a comfortable win at home.
17-7 Wolves
Pittsburgh Irons v New York Doom

What's the saying about scouting bars and a roll of toliet paper? Combine the two and you have a pile of crap and a clean bum?
I agree the Baggers are the dogs, but we are jazzed about a crack at a team that destroyed us last year! 400+ yards of offense and 40 pts to go with! That wasn't a fun game! I think it will be much more competitve, I just hope we can get over the hump and not be satisfied with a "moral victory"!

You must not be looking at the same team I've been scouting. We are really going to have to bring our A game to pull this one out

Oh i never said you could cut them any slack, only that cary is the underdog cause they have yet to prove themselves against the toughest teams out there.
