Judges:

2) Juiceweezle
3) Guzz
4) NO Fear
5) Gerr

Thanks, I remembered from the rules in last seasons that running in overtime was fine (hence why I set up my ai like that last season). Never expected to have 2 overtimes.

For the record, I looked the game over real quick like, I would be in favor of advancing Advocates because Test Dummies rushed for more than 2 quarters and Advocates didn't. Even in overtime they had their AI Set up to throw the rock. It's listed in the rules that even in overtime you must pass the ball if you used up your rushing quarter. The first overtime was legit for rushing had you scored there I would say you win, but it came in the second overtime thus breaking the rule when the game was tied.

No argument if that's what is decided by the others.

Lesson for everyone don't plan on rushing in overtime since you can't control settings for a second overtime. You never know what will happen like this.

Well if I could get my kicker to make a damn 35 yard field goal it wouldn't be an issue

I agree, since he had 4 quarters set for passing, he was taking a chance by having running plays set in OT. The Advocates did not and continued to pass the ball through 6 quarters of play. Advocates should move on as the rules are clearly stated.

Ahhh man, what happened Dave?!?! We'll have to set up a scrim at the end of the season for our rematch!

Goatwarrior's wife just had a baby, so I have been running the defense....I am not the DC that he is. I was looking forward to a rematch with you guys....maybe later in the season Goatwarrior will be sleeping better, and he can set the D up for us so we can have a decent game with you guys.

I vote to allow the win for the Test Dummies because you can't program the OAI for multiple OT's. Plus rushing in OT is a risk vs reward situation because most teams win due to their one quarter of rushing, but if a team risks passing for the first 4 quarters, then they should be allowed to rush for all of OT.

I'm not an official judge, so don't count my vote...but I'll offer my opinion anyway.

I'd tend to side with the Test Dummies receiving the win. Unlike Gerr, though, I don't think you should really take into account their risk/reward...that should be irrelevant.

However, Gerr makes a great point when he says that you can't set your AI for the 1st overtime & not the 2nd.

Secondly, in the matches set to force a winner there really isn't a 1st & 2nd overtime. If there were then the 2nd overtime would begin with a kickoff. The multiple overtimes are only put into place b/c the coding can't handle not operating within 15-minute timeframes, meaning they can't just have unlimited time. So I don't really view 1st & 2nd overtime as more than 1 quarter.

I guess the real question is...Did the Test Dummies set their AI up to run in OT or did they not make adjustments thinking they would never go into OT?

Does it really matter?

I think this comes down to if we consider OT as one big quarter since the AI can't be programmed for multiple OT's. If not and we rule against the Test Dummies, then we need a rule in place where OT is pass only and the rushing quarter can only be 1-4. If we rule for the Test Dummies, then all of OT is considered one quarter.

It does matter. If he didn't adjust his AI for OT, then he should be disqualified. He was taking a chance if the game went to OT by not adjusting his AI. Everyone else in the past has picked a quarter and ran with it...or passed the whole game. If it was his plan to pass for 4 quarters and play the run for OT, then he should win. But come on...why would you purposely set it up like that? You're taking a huge chance that you don't even make it to OT.

Yes I specifically had it set to "run" plays in overtime as my "quarter" for running. If you look at all of my air attack tourney games last season and this game, I did no intentional runs during the first 4 quarters and was waiting for basically this situation, where the game goes to OT to bring out the running game.

For quick reference here are my Air Attack Tourney games from Season 13:
