see this is much better. who knew ideas improved through collaboration. truly amazing.

He obviously has some intellect and wants to prove it to everyone and force it down their throats so they can experience how superior he is. If you don't like the game TSE, don't let the door hit you on the ass on your way out.

Not true at all. You have failed at reading me.

IF I wanted to PROVE my intellectual abilities to you guys, I would submit all kinds of stuff that makes me look good. The amount of things I have offered about my real life information is like a lousy 1% of the info out there that I could provide if I truly wanted to sell you. I don't even know how it is possible to convince you guys of my genius with the limited evidence I have provided in support of that claim.

Thus, I dont have a superiority complex, because if I did, then obviously I'd want to fight hard to convince you to agree that I'm as great as I say I am, but I don't even try to do that. So you are wrong on 2 issues here just for the record.

Often I wonder if Bort even knows where he wants to take GLB from one season to the next.

Shoot, my post is a piece of shit commentary compared to what I would submit to Bort if he truly wanted my opinion. I'm a business professional and have not only studied business plans, but I've written them and invested in them. The plan I could come up with for GLB would look sick on paper to investors when they see what my projections are for revenues. And no not pie in the sky revenues like the knuckleheads you see on Shark Tank or Dragon's Den. Real projections that have a logical basis tied into new memberships that can be created as well as securing a stranglehold on existing customers to keep re-upping their money.

I'm going to do what those cigarette wizards did. They created an addictive product and marketed it well. That's what I would do, make GLB addicting by making it fun and interesting and intriguing, something that you just have to be in bed with kind of like EXACTLY the way I was and others were that were hardcore into the game in Season 1. I would take the magic of that customer perspective I had then, and I would re-design the game to create that type of buzz and interest in a new way and then keep it there. Bort could give me half his company today and I could still easily get him a lot more than double the personal income he already has, if not 5x it or 10x it or more.

I can 100% see where he's coming from though... Yeah, he talks like a know-it-all, but he DOES have some good ideas. Also, it's obvious that he's intelligent. He doesn't have the smoothest form of communication, but if you cut through it, at the core he's right in a lot of cases...

I agree with that sentiment. The only place I've ever had communication gaps with people is on the Internet, and in the core sense the main reason is simply because in text words people can invent ways to take offense to things that they wouldn't in person when body language and tone are in place. I don't alter my words to accommodate the convenience of those that need words to be dressed up nice and pretty for you to not get insulted. Thus, they get insulted, and then shit ensues. But, my contention is that they are the ones at fault and their illogical interpretations and inaccurate and false assumptions that have no basis for being made are really that person's problem and not mine. I just like to bring attention to those problems so hopefully people can learn how to act logically and rationally for a change. It would help if we had a President that could handle Education reform to teach logic to our children, which we currently don't. But our President doesn't have time to reform Education, he's too busy failing at reforming everything else that needs reforming. Plus he would never realize the lack of teaching logic to our youth is the #1 problem with our nation's curriculum. There's no way he can come to that conclusion because he has providing overwhelming evidence that he has breakdowns in very simple logic, it's really embarrassing to me. Thus, not being logical, he would unlikely come to the conclusion that logic is critical and under-appreciated. Oh well.

Did everyone forget how much they made fun of TSE for saying things like how he wouldn't sell his team for well over a thousand real U.S. Dollars?

Even though it was ridiculous, he felt that way because he thought there was a market for GLB and he wanted and believed the game could/would succeed. About a year later not only have things not really progressed.

TSE has always wanted to find reasons to enjoy/play this game. Regardless of what you think about TSE you can't deny that he's competitive. It's been obvious to all of us for a long time now that he isn't putting the best team he could on the field.

How many other owners out there would stick around with their team for 8 seasons where they've lost interest in the game? Not many, considering the ridiculous amount of teams turning over and giving up every year (and what is causing that?). I don't feel very confident in the future of a game where a fellow owner spent as long as TSE waiting for a reason to "return" before deciding they aren't going to find one.

If I owned GLB I can guarantee you I would make a huge effort to talk to TSE and listen to his thoughts on my business. I don't have to agree with everything he says, and it's about what the customer wants not what I want anyway. I feel like this is high-school level stuff here to everyone but Bort.

Yeah, I figured that GLB would have no problem with creating a virtual economy if it wanted to. That's why I wouldn't sell the team. I actually have enough money right now that I could technically live the rest of my life without earning another dime (although that depends on how long I live and I wouldn't be able to go out to eat again lol). Money doesn't really motivate me or mean anything to me anymore, and for a couple thousand bucks I would not have remotely considered selling. I spent 10 hours a day recruiting, actually a lot more than 10 hours a day playing this game in season 1. I spent 40 days in a row where I spent a lot more than 10 hours a day on this site. Same with Season 2 and eventually that came down quick every season afterwards. The amount of time I invested into it had a lot of equity value to me, and if this game created an economy as well as being a good game, I figured it would be fun to have the greatest team in Season 1 and to keep building off of that. I stopped investing hardcore time every year of course when I saw the game wasn't going to go anywhere and the economy would never be built, at least not enough to keep my time at present day.

And yeah it was a tough decision to keep my team straggling, but I didn't want to give it up just yet while there still seemed to be hope. I would still keep it if I could, but I dont' have the heart to waste any more person's time, and I'm sure I could find plenty of people to fill the roster that would be happy to do that just as I have seen last time I nudged our roster up.

And I did PM Bort on the very first day I joined this game and had tried to get his attention for what my vision could be for this game. He listened mildly to what I said, but he just wasn't interested in the end I guess. I can't blame him for being skeptical. But if it were me and somebody had a plan that was better than mine, yeah I would take that guy's call and call his bluff to see what he had to say that could prove to me that he had a better plan than I did such that it would be a good business decision to give him part of the company in return. There's no doubt in my mind I could take a piece of GLB and still make Bort a ton more money. It's child's play as far as I'm concerned. I would have already built a GLB game by now if I knew how to do the programming.

I really don't think GLB's ceiling is as high as people think. Pretty sure it peaked around season 10 when the initial season1 guys hit plateau/decline. Everything from here on out will probably just be patching things here, fixing little interactions there which will cause something else to be a little off then you have to fix that, then add something to solve another problem which will need more sim fixing, etc...

I don't think there is much room for growth in GLB at the moment. Not really sure how he can restructure or add new things without completely scraping the current game or drastically change stuff that will of course upset many. Bort and GLB are kinda stuck in limbo at the moment and i dont' really see it drastically improving

Look up how much money games like Madden and FF generate. You don't think there's room for a good MMORPG for football? It doesn't have to be as big as the others, but GLB doesn't hit 1% of the world market that they could have. Ask 100 of your friends how many people have played GLB or even know about it. Then ask how many have played or would like to play a Madden or FF game. Then see how many would consider a MMORPG as something they'd play. Look at the numbers. Then look at the populations that exist in comparison to the customer base.

For every person that spends money on this game, there are probably more than 100 people that COULD or WOULD spend money if you pitched them on it. That's not saying you have to go door to door for 6 billion people, but you CAN tap into big enough portions that you only need a tiny, tiny fraction of the universal marketplace in order to double or triple or 10x your profits.

And forget about thinking about crossing over into other games for other sports and other products/services and ad revenue and crap. You start factoring that junk in and you are dealing with sick amounts of money. Talking about dollar amounts almost make it sound like a made up story that would make a good movie. Oh they do have those movies though I guess, there's all kinds of movies based upon brilliant entrepreneurs that came up with the next neatest thing. GLB was and still is the next neatest thing. But it has crawled into a shell and then slipped into the ocean and then migrated to the Mariana Trench where it found a cave and it crawled inside and found it to be a cozy place to lay there, and die there one day later.

Seriously, most of you guys are total asses.

TSE has done a lot for the game and yet you continue to spit on him. TSE is the only reason I even stayed an agent of GLB when I left USA Pro due to the bullshit.

Seriously, grow the fuck up.

Scott, I'll miss you in game, however, we'll hang out soon. I've got your number.

I just can't play this game any longer as a team control person or a player, it's way too boring and has hit a dead end and I don't see the point or value in playing this game. It has nothing to do with football, and is a lousy MMORPG that doesn't let you experience hardly any taste of what an RPG should be. It's stuck in a bland middle of confusion and indecision and has no focus towards a fun game playing experience. I'm just going to watch and lurk and hope that one day GLB evolves into either a fun or interesting game. Take care guys and good luck on your seasons!
