And you're not responding to my argument. Your argument consists of "they wouldn't have been competitive, so it doesn't matter." That doesn't follow. There is a difference between not having a chance in a game and choosing to throw the game in order to mess with the system. The first is a part of playing the game, the second shows a complete lack of respect for the game. The owners involved chose the latter.

Now where is your argument that they (1) didn't show a lack of respect for the game, and (2) didn't intentionally try and screw over the rest of the agents in this league?

It is acceptable. It's a widely practiced act in this game. Ive seen countless mid-season gut jobs. However, Ive only seen 3 instances of teams collude to throw a game. In fact, Haliblack was involved in every one!

It was no competition for 16 teams. But at least it wasn't different competition for 15 teams and special consideration for 1.

except to a small degree that happens in real life. Nothing wrong with a few players moving around between eliminated teams and contenders. There is a problem when it's more than a few and it's one of the reasons why there is a trade deadline, roster freeze, chemistry hits and limitation on transactions between teams. We've already had all of those scandals and have methods in place to deal with them.

Would you or would you not agree that it takes a "gate" to get new such methods put in place around here?
