Having gone to school in da 'burgh I can attest to the hate, but it's still not one of the big rivalries IMO. It's another case of "everyone thinks their own rivalry is the big one".

Here's a simple test: go to the other side of the country and ask someone who isn't a big fan of that particular sport (but still familiar with sports in general) who a team's rival is. Or pick a sport (college football, NFL, college basketball, etc) and ask them to name a big rivalry in it.

You'll get a lot of people knowing/naming Redskins-Cowboys, Yankees-Red Sox, Carolina-Duke, Army-Navy, OSU-Michigan, etc. _That's_ a really huge rivalry. You get a lot less knowing who's the big rival for someone like the Steelers or 'bama.

To me the Iron bowl has always been a big rivalry.. maybe not as big as OSU-Michigan but close.

Those Steeler-Oiler games were great, if it wasnt for Pittsburgh, Houston Oilers probably have 1 maybe 2 Super Bowl Titles.

LA Looters are probably the 1st team i looked at once the schedule was released to see when we play (week 12)

I'm sure noone was expectine week 5 to be a decider for the playoffs last season, but week 12 in LA this year i think will be huge for both of us.

Without a doubt. Bridge City Trolls for us.
We got 2 days until we play each other and the die hard Looters tailgaters have been at the " Looters Hideout" all day, we even had to put up big screens so they could watch our game today vs pheonix blue jays. Next thing we knew bus loads of the trolls faithful pulled up minutes ago. We've since scheduled an all American 4th of July tailgaters firework spectacular. Some fans have gotten an early start and have started a bottle rocket war. 6 arrested 4 injured including an " Iruleall15" fan who is in critical condition after the Looters and Trolls fans put thier rivalry aside and teamed up to beat him within an inch of his life. He showed up in a Phil Knights jersey with "freak" on the back talking smack. The jersey has since been cleaned, pressed, and had " freak" removed. Then mailed first class to 12th knight. Since both teams have nothing but respect for the Knights. Security has been tripled. But the fans seem to all be just having good clean fun.

Can't wait til we get this one started.

Win or lose we riot and loot.

I am definitely looking forward to this game. It will easily be one of the best of the season, regardless of the outcome. Good luck to the L.A. Looters, we will see you in your Hideout!

In the mean time, Big Screens and Kegs are being shipped to Downtown Bridge City in preparation for the game. The Mayor has declared Game-day a holiday and work is to be canceled so all may participate in the festivities.

The Looters 800# has been flooded with calls and has crashed.

Too many fans from Bridge City have called asking why they can't find "the hideout"

So were issuing this statement.

" We apologize to all fans, Looters and guests. We unfortunately cannot give directions to our stadium and no maps are available. Due to last years L.A.P.D. Family day at " The Hideout." We can only suggest a few methods for locating the stadium A) head downtown and try to get kidnapped B) join a gang C) follow the smoke. Any one of theese actions will most likely have you end up at " The Hideout."
