Knox looks like he could be a heck of a steal so far. Granted I've seen 2 game sparks end in 14 game lames before.

It looks like he will be Cutler's Eddie Royal this season. He seemed to have a lot more confidence in this kid than Bennett or the others. Knox gets great separation (though they might guard him better once he becomes a known commodity) and he actually goes up to get the ball which Cutler knows Hester wouldn't go up to contest a ball if his life depended on it.

Cutlers Eddie Royal is Earl Bennett....he looks his way more than any other guy because they are Vanderbilt tested already...Knox is however his Brandon Marshall...if only he was that talented tho.

Berrian is currently gimpy (as always) and plays for a run at all costs team...not sure why this makes any sense.

My problem with the Saints isn't there division. It's like back in 06 when the Saints had such a great offense, then went into Chitown and got stomped in the playoffs. What happens when the Saints face off against a D that can shut down Brees. They certainly don't have a good running game. And the D is suspect. I also wouldn't sleep on the Falcons, although i'm not sold yet. But eventually the Saints will face a good team, and I just don't think Brees can do it all by himself. Teams win championships, not individuals, or even one sided teams(NYG vs NEP Super Bowl for example)

I have the Giants as of right now the top team in the East and the conference. Things could definitely change, usually when the Giants start hot they flop near the end of the season. But Manning looks sharp, the Dline can get at anyone, and they have a good running game. They have playoff experience and confidence, something the Cowboys don't. Romo needs to show he can actually win a big game. The Redskins are a joke, they should be a good team but I think it's karma. Money doesn't buy championships. The Eagles are a problem just waiting to happen. The D has big holes and shoes to fill, and what if McNabb is gone for a few more weeks and Vick gets to start, and then wins a game or two? The Philly fans might be worse to there QB's than Bears fans. That whole situation is just ready to explode imo. Giants are the only stable team in that divison right now imo.

The North, we won't know till the season ends. The only thing we do know is the Lions suck

Giants have a defense? Sure coulda fooled me in that Dallas game....their offense won it if anything. Manningham may be a stud tho...god damn.

Hester went up between 2 Steelers on 3rd down late for a clutch grab.

Knox will be Johnny Knox, no one else.

I hate that shit when the Bears fans keep trying to compare them to other people. Let our guys be themselves, thats all we need them to be. They pull that on the CBMB too

Yeah I'm hoping Knox keeps taking Bennett's snaps. I hated how Cutler gets into a jam and tries forcing it to Bennett like in the GB game. bennett just hasn't impressed me much at all as a starter, and if Knox keeps playing well I hope he starts next to Hester. Alot of speed if those two are on the field at the same time.

Hester quietly is becoming a very good wideout, but everyone just wants to remember previous seasons.

Giants have a dline that can get at anyone, not a Defense. And if that dline is hot, well, the game starts all up front. If a QB is on his back all game he's not going to play well, not even Tom Brady. Plus Dallas always puts up points on the Gmen. That whole divison beats the hell out of each other.

Been telling my Giants fan friends all offseason to watch out for Manningham, he looked great in preseason and is continuing it in the real games. Kids looking like a steal.

i kind of like Bennett. I think hes pretty good...just isn't thrown to in key routes. Like the WR Screen? WTF?

As HB said, those forces to Bennett really weren't helping... all on Cutler though. That late short 3rd D to Hester was clutch

agreed...then again his forced passes to anyone aren't helping...kinda like in Denver tho.

Of course you like Bennett, those forces into 4 players towards Bennett while Hester is streaking wide open down the field helped Green Bay win

I don't dislike Earl, don't get me wrong. I just think Knox has a higher ceiling, and if he can keep producing he should get the start opposite Hester. It's not like Earl was a proven NFL player coming into this season either so it's basically having a rookie start either way. Speed kills though and two wideouts who have run in the 4.2's before is not something alot of teams have.

Plus, Knox was basically part of the Cutler trade too so that's a bonus(was the 5th round pik we got from them)

Could make a big difference if the Dallas O-line wasn't so dirty and knocked out one of the best players on that defense. That was an absolutely unnecessary play and there is no logical reason why his leg needed to stick out like that other than for a cheap shot (and he should get fined for that - but probably won't)

I compare him to Eddie Royal because Eddie Royal was a rookie that Jay Cutler found tremendous comfort in throwing to. I think he has that same faith in Johnny Knox, another rookie WR. That being said, do I believe Knox could be a 90 catch rookie like Eddie Royal? Yes. FYI, The Chicago Tribune made the exact same comment this morning that I did last night about Knox-Royal similarities.

Bennett reminds me of a Mushin Muhammed type player- big muscular, but he isn't getting open enough. He just relies on good passes and using his body to shield defenders off.

Johnny Knox will be Johnny Knox.
Earl Bennett Will be Earl Bennett.
Devin Hester will be Devin Hester.

That's all we need, I don't care if Lovie makes the comparisons to others, I think they are stupid. I know people are going to make them. Doesn't mean I have to like them.
