Yes but the other QB starts the game hence the term starter.

Jeff Garcia spends more time on the bench than he does on the field every single game, hence the term benchwarmer.

I don't know why you can't just admit that Jeff Garcia is a backup and be done with it. He's a great QB in the World League who just happens to begin games on the sideline.

He is very clearly a backup. Second string to be precise. Just deal with it. There is nothing wrong with not starting, except when you run around talking about how you do...and you don't...

He isn't a starter. I admit that. Because it's true. But he's not a backup.

Have you ever played football? The guy who goes in after the starter is the backup. That would be you.

I have played football, and backups hardly get playing time unless the starter is injured.
