By not recruiting a few extra guys and still failing, it's easier to just be lazy, still suck at the current sim and pretend he's saving face. Good strategy. What makes TSE more upset? The fact that he's completely irrelevant in today's GLB or that the roster is above 40?

Poking the bear is kinda fun though. Good for some time killing. He seems really emotional about this.

This, plus promotion opening up so that good teams started arriving in Pro faster than the incumbent teams gutted. The competition has gotten stronger and Detroit hasn't been able to keep pace.

I dont really get why you have chosen such and arbitrary roster size limit anyways TSE, the NFL roster limits are 53(54) with 45 of those being able to suit up on game day http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/story?columnist=pasquarelli_len&id=4186072

So in all honesty, we are pretty much using an NFL roster limit, we are just able to suit all 55 up for game day instead of being limited to 45. What you are grandstanding for is below even NFL standards and simply makes little sense.

Why would I be emotional? We haven't been competitive in this league for a season and a half now. Don't you think that if wins were that important I would have recruited 55 guys knowing that I would have a greater chance at winning? GLB is at the bottom of my priority list and has completely fallen off my interest level grid. I have absolutely no interest in anything going on with this game right now except having fun with IceCold to shoot for some yards this year since that's the only outlet for entertainment left.

Besides I didnt' come here to spout off about the stupid roster limit, I just stopped by because on passing by I saw some lame comments that were way off and I just had to set the record straight on those few items. It's some of you guys that came in here to try and fester up a conversation to amuse yourselves. It's not like GLB is one move away from being a perfect game and the roster limit is the end all be all to making everything perfect. It's a HUGE element and a HUGE problem, but it's just one of many problems that need to be fixed to make this a really good game.

Well why don't you ask Bort then for the contact info for all the people that went inactive in that last 2 months and ask them what they think of this issue and of GLB altogether? Well maybe they all left the game because of the economy, and not because they think GLB sucks.

And I am not sacrificing anybody, I just released a veteran player today, I hadn't talked to him hardly all season and it was my idea that I approached him with, and I have posted a message in my team forum telling everybody to PM me for a release if they want to join a better team and I have gone out of my way to ask them to consider if they want to move on for their players' last few years and take a final shot at a trophy. I feel bad that all these guys have stayed so long and I would like them all to get a chance to accomplish something more before they have to retire.

Also, if anybody needs extra bodies, I still have 7 inactive guys plus a lot of guys that expire at the end of the season, so I could possibly do some trades. What I would be looking for in return are any guys that are signed up for the future to replace some of these upcoming empty spots, so you could get a big package of guys in return for a single player or something, or cash perhaps.

Haha that was my comment. Didn't even think you were around anymore to see it. Just giving you a hard time, don't take it to heart. It's just dotball.

Yep I'm still here, just sitting idle and patient in hopes that this game can become fun again, or in the very least about football. I like football and I like games. But right now GLB isn't really related to either of those 2 things. It's just a complete abortion at the moment. Although I now have my doubts that Bort will evolve this thing into a good game, so my hope is that he will do a better job with the baseball game, and if/when he does that you will see me on there just as much as you used to see me on here.

you want it to be football but want a 40 dot roster limit? hypocritical much? 55 is good

NCAA Division 1 teams are limited to 85 football scholarships in a given year. Interestingly, GLB is neither the NFL or NCAA ... its just dotball. In Season 10 dotball, each team can have 55 players on the roster. Playing with 40 players or any other arbitrary number less than 55 is probably not optimal.

TSE's complaining about the roster cap is akin to whining about weakside pitch plays. You can draw your arbitrary line in the sand and refuse to run weakside pitch plays but it still doesn't make you look any better when everyone proceeds to stomp your ass using weakside pitches (in addition to other offensive plays).

This season's SIM seems pretty solid on both sides of the ball. We're still seeing a few unusual behaviors from dots but for the most part, things are on the up and up.

I believe Shonn Greene had the same problem. Good thing you edited it though!
