People aren't doing it all wrong, they are just building WRs not TEs.

If you had to put a GLB strength number on T.O. or Boldin what would it be?

35

How did Kai lose with 4 game-breaking plays like that?

Applaud.

Would you hurry up and convince people to copy your build so corners are force to trade speed/agility for strength/tackling so the speed/agility guys aren't going up against even CBs all the time?

I'm still pretty early in my build and I've worked speed/agility like the rest of the world... if you are doing a strength receiver which is the best way to go on the special ability tree?

That really depends on what your goal is with him and how your OC uses him. There is not one good tree, but options on both tree's which are good.

Great to see a power receiver tearing it up, but I'm not sure how to go about building one to get good results. Using the virtual player builder, by level 50 (halfway through the player's 7th season), natural stats are sitting at:

Carrying: 80
Agility: 73
Speed: 64
Strength: 56
Catching: 52
Jumping: 51
Vision: 50

VAs in YAC Attack, Possession Receiver and Outside Blocker

I'm just not sure if that would be a good way to build a receiver. Obviously it's been done (and to great success), but something about the way I would build him just makes me think he'd suck haha. I'd think equipment would need to go into speed primarily. So basically, what do you all think about the viability of a receiver build like the one outlined above? What could be done differently? And would those VA choices be a good idea?

It really depends on your OC. He needs to have you run routes that take advantage of your skill set.

I don't know how ITS built Cassius, but the one thing that bothers me about strength is it doesn't get the natural level ups that other WR attributes do. If I were to build a strength WR, I'd treat strength like an SA, wait until later levels (40?) to start pointing it and load it up then. There is nothing worse than looking at a strength bar after investing a ton of points early on and seeing that it hasn't moved at all while other attributes have gained 4-8 points through natural gains.

seems kinda like building a high str /receiving TE. quite a few people trying it, but not great results so far. needs more X factor IMO.

top notch receivers are pretty much interchangeable. the only difference is how they mesh with a particular QB and who plays the other WR position and TE.

Steve Smith
Larry Fitzgerald
Andre Johnson
Chad Johnson
Terrell Owens
Brandon Marshall
Anquan Boldin
Calvin Johnson
Roddy White (stretch...)

I don't see a difference in performance. Stylistically, sure...performance? nothing. There might be a couple other guys you could add to that list.

You left the Best WR off the list.

Randy Moss. IMO he is better than them all.

Reggie Wayne ain't too shabby either.

I like how he puts White but forgets Jennings.
