Proving that game film is more important than looking at the bars and #'s

Seeing a Build, compared to seeing game film = same thing??? I guess you don't watch games, you can't tell how effective any build is unless you have watched two players in the same position with the different build, on the same team against the same players running the same plays... Ur so dumb, it makes me sad

I'm on a team with him, of course I watch the games that CB is in.

And no, I don't prescribe to everything he says. I don't do that for anyone. I just notice that oftentimes his advice doesn't lead a person in the wrong direction... I can't say that for everyone.

My CB of the same level is more jumping oriented and less focused on speed/agi, at least early. There are many ways to build each player, and most importantly many ways to build a successful team - that should be your goal.

As for all your replays, I'm pretty sure he's playing loose coverage on purpose. They won the game by 76 points.

Best build would be dictated by who you're playing.
There's no way to always create a statistical mismatch unless
1. You're playing retards who raise kicking as a WR
2. You outlevel your opponent
Neither of those things will occur consistently in higher leagues.

Best build would be the one that can cover whichever type of wr comes their way. There is a build that can do that. The speed>agility cb can't cover super-agile wrs, and can't cover many regular wrs. The speed=agility cb can cover super speed wrs and super agile wrs.

The CB forum is no place for "quietly" imo

That's only two elements, and your sample size is probably small.
Just because it has worked for you and possibly others, does not mean it is the absolute "best," nor does it mean something else would not work for others.

Yep definitely play medium (-33) and aggressive when going against teams that I know we will dominate. (Manilla ticks) It's funny their number 1 receiver got 10 catches and 70 yards. zero touchdown. You say my corner got burned? You're a noob.

WR Bowe Dwayne 69plays 10receptions 75.5yards 7.6average 2.1YAC 0TD please please explain how he got burned?

Can you only find one play against London Calling? A team that destroyed us in the preseason and regular season?

i find it rather humorous that wormser is trying to argue with like half of the most respected CB builders... lol. get dh12, granted, and robponce in here and we'll have a party.

now in reply to wormsers last post. i dont think anyone here will argue that numbers are more important than film... and for sure not bars. they call them lolbars for a reason. they mean pretty much nothing. too bad, as UD pointed out, your examples dont mean much. go home and do some more hw if you want to try to discredit or belie UD or really any of us. your CB is only lvl 20, and ive never seen you around here before. DW may not have a high lvl CB, but hes at least been a round for a while. see him in the WR forums a lot too. fact is, you cant run in here with no credibility to begin with and try to argue, with no real proof or math, with people who have credibility and have done a lot of work and "research" with CBs. just let reality set in here, you lose. just accept it, and life will go oh so much smoother for you.

I thought wormser was agreeing with me. If you want rob, dh, and Granted in here I can ask them to come post their thoughts on the subject. It will essentially be word for word what I have already said, though.

Yup... pretty sure that the point here was when is it too much speed... Underdogs point was that it is never too much.... he taughted his builds, I showed a game where his build gave up 1/4th of the passing yards for that game. His philosophy on speed is incorrect. Take his advice if you want, but stay on subject Worker DW and mmuhr. The subject here is speed... what is your opinion, or do you not have one. Call me what you will, I believe that a player should be built according to what his job will be, not based on advice from someone who's theories are suspect imo... that's why I said a few pages ago, I will never take advice from UD. Make speed=agility makes sense and that is certainly advice I will take!

Holy crap worker... you don't even agree with UD remember saying this "or 95/85... just as long as you have a difference of 10. but +1. i think a lot of people think they need 100+ speed to keep up with receivers, and while that may be true with 115+ speed receivers, there aren't a ton of those that actually have good builds outside of their speed. 90-95 speed with the small cushion you get at the start of every play should be enough to stay on your man." that was in this thread http://goallineblitz.com/game/forum_thread.pl?thread_id=2655890&page=1 where mmuhr disagreed with going to 100 speed, said that people that do are jokes. thats also the thread where UD said this "I don't understand this statement. I have 4 very well built corners right now. they all have 100 speed and 70 agility.

matter of fact I like it so much I am doing it again with my level 24 corner.

shit for brains."
I guess some peoples opinions change from time to time, but, OMG.... I agreed with longhorn then and I agree with him now. I can't understand you other guys, or maybe you felt like I was picking on your friend0_0... I don't care, you have changed your opinion, but the facts are still the same, UD builds CBs that he believes should have 100+ speed and 70 agility... You agree with that 0_0. Credibility does not come from multiple posts, a moron can do that... it comes from insight. "true wisdom comes from understanding that you know nothing"

My level 20 CB has 59 plays... 3 tackles no missed and 4 PDs. watch his games and you will see that even though he is the lowest level CB out there, and usually the lowest level on the field, they can't throw his way. Speed and agility are almost exactly equal. Guess my build lacks credibility. I was respecting your guy Dan Duger for his play, Your team was -6 and outleveled all over the place, but your 3 int's gave them a chance in OT. Proof is all in the game film!
