The Beans were broke ($1 mil?) in season 3 and have only had 3 home playoff games in our existence. We struggled in hard leagues instead of collecting cash in lower leagues and beating up on gutted teams. Neither way is more "noble", but don't pretend that the Beans are where we are because of money. That simply isn't the case.

You have a team in CPL that has been around forever and has levels through the roof, which will be a tough game so my final offer is 750/1000. 1-1 means nothing, take it or leave it.

LOL you didn't have to earn your way up because I told you about Derek wanting to move down to AA and you had lost in the WE AA playoffs and he switched with you which got you into the CPL.


That isn't the point. There were 5 other options of teams that wanted to switch with us. Bort was switching ANYONE who wanted to switch. The question is - do you waste 2-4 seasons in playing 50-60% gutted teams and gather alot of equipment money......or do you switch up to the Pros and likely get killed for a couple seasons and have no chance of any season 3 playoff pricing exploit $$. We chose to play the tough schedule and take our lumps.

The point is that is it cost us tens of millions more we would have earned in AA and AAA where we surely would have had more than 3 home games over the last 6 season. You may not think this is true, but even in season 5, we stomped the best that WE AA or AAA had to offer:

There are gutted teams in all leagues. There are just far fewer in the Pros. You agree with me. We have talked about this many times.

I went back and looked at our forum thread for that game. It was p funny.



I wish I could say we even started a thread for Dryden. :\

We have a thread for every game. Even against gutted CPU teams. Just the way Asheme and Wanderer do it. Most of the time the thread just amounts to "Everybody stay with what you got". The Beans thread amounted to pretty much that. It wasn't particularly funny for what was said before the game but for what was said after.

But nice try anyway. Having a thread in our forum doesn't mean we took the game any more seriously than any other regular season game. Hell...the Bastard Sons and Thunder Bay got one this season and we certainly were on autopilot for those games.

Up the ante to 1000?

Makes it a lot easier on the math part.
